1. REQUEST FOR A LOT SPLIT: L.S. #73-10, BY WILLIAM F. SHARRATT;
Split Lot 4, Block 1, Sylvan Hi11s Plat 5, being 201 and 221
Satellite Lane N.E. so City records agree with County records.
Mr. William Sharratt was present.
Mr. Clark said that about l0 years ago this property was
sold to two separate parties. At that time they were told
by the'finance department that the Ci:ty could not split the
special assessments until there had been a lot split approved
by the City. None of the subsecuent owners ever applied for
this 1ot split. Mr. Sharratt bought the building at 201 Satellite
Lane about two years ago and doesn't think it is guite fair that
all the specials are assessed against his property for both
agartment buildings. Mr.'Clark said he agreed with him, but .
this was not the fault of the City. .
- Mr. Harris asked if the owner of 221 Satellite Lane was in
favor of this lot split. Mr. Clark said he probably wouldn't be,
his share of the specials.
but he should be paying
Mr. Clark questioned if there was enough parking provided
on both apar-ment sites. Mr. Sharratt said they had one garage
stall and one parking stall for eachapartment. Mr. Clark said
• that was the proper ratio and both buildings would meet the setback
requirements after this lot split.
Mr. Clark said all the specials had been paid on this property,
exept_the storm sewer when Mr. Sharratt obtained this property and
this mounts to $190 per year.
