AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTERS 1.02 AND 1.03 OF THE CITY CODE
RELATING TO WARD AND PRECINCT BOUNDARIES WITHIN THE CITY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Chapters 1.02 and 1.03 of the City Code are hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTIOIV 1.01 Pursuant to the City of Fridley Chaxter, Chapter 2.03 which
requires the Council to redetermine Ward Boundaries after each
decennial census of the United States, and at other times as the City Council
may determine. The Ward and Precinct Boundaries o£ the City are redetermined
and hereafter are established as follows:
A. Ward No. l, Precinct No. 1 is established as the area bounded as follows:

On the north by the City limits, on the east by T.H. 65, on the west by
Burlington-Northern-Railroad right-of-way, on the south by Minnesota
Transfer Railway right-of-way and an extension of that line (north line
of the South �, of the South '� o£ Sections 10, ll and 12).
Ward No. 1, Precinct No. 2 is established as the area bounded as follows:
On the north by the Minnesota Railway Transfer right-of-way and an ex-
tension of that line (north line of the South � of the South '� of Sections
11 and 12), on the east by T.H. 65, on the south by Mississippi S�reet, and
on the west by T.H. 47.
Ward No. 1, Precinct No. 3 is es�ablished as the area bounded as follows:
On the noxth by an extension of a line drawn parallel with the right-of-
way of the Minnesota Trans£er Railway (the north line of tfie South ; of
the South �, of Sections 10 and 11), on the east by T.H. 47 from the north
boundary of the Precinct to Mississippi 5treet and by 7th Street £rom
Mississippi Street to T.H. 694, on the south by T.H. 694 from 7th Street
to T.H. 47 by 60th Avenue from T.H. 47 to 2�, Street and 61st Avenue from
2'�.Street to the Burlington Northern right-of-way on the west by T.H. 47
from T.H. 694 to 61st Avenue and by the Burlington Northern Railway right-
of-way from 61st Avenue to the north bou�dary of the Precinct. ..
D. Ward No. 2, Precinct No. 1 is established as the area bounded as follows:
On the north by Mississippi Street, on the east by T.H. 65, on the south
by the south City limits, on the west by 7th Street.
E. Ward No. 2, Precinct No. 2 is established as the area bounded as follows:
On the north by the north City limits, on the east by the east City limits,
on the south by a line described as follows: beginning at the inter-
section of the east City limits and Gardena Avenue, then proceeding
west along Gardena Avenue to a line parallel with the east boundary of
the property of Sehool District 14 (Parkview Elementary School), then
north along this line to its intersection with the southeast corner of
Lot 19, Block 3, Moore Lake Hills Addition, then west along the south
boundary of the above described lot to Aillcrest Drive, then nosth and
west along Hillcrest Drive to its intersection with Woody Lane, then
north and west alonq Woody Lane to its intersection with Central Avenue,
then south along Central Avenue to the south line o£ Section 13, then

F. Ward No. 2, Precinct No. 3 is established as the area bounded as £ollows:
On the north by a line beginning at the intersection of the east City
limits and Gardena Avenue, then proceeding west along Gardena Avenue to
a line parallel with the east boundary of the property o£ School District
14 (Parkview Elementary School), then north along this line to its
intersection with the southeast corner of Lot 19, Block 3, Moore Lake
Hills Addition, then west along the south boundary of the above described
lot to-Hillcresf��Drive, then north and west along Hillcrest Drive to its
intersection with Woody Lane, then north and west along Woody Lane to
its intersection with Central Avenue, then south along Central Avenue to
the south line of Section 13, then west along the south boundary of Section
13 to its intersection with T.H. 65, on the south and east by the City
limits, and on the west by T.H. 65.
G. Ward No. 3, Precinct No. 1 is established as the area bounded as £ollows: '
On the north by the north City limits, on the east by�the Burlington
Northern Railway right-of-way, on the south by�Rice Creek and Locke Lake, -
on the west by the Mississippi River.
H. Ward No. 3, Precinct No. 2 is established as the area bounded as follows:
On the north by Rice Creek and Locke Lake, on the east by the Burlington
Northern Railway right-of-way from Rice Creek to Mississippi Street by
2'� Street from Mississippi Street to 60th Avenue, and by T.H. 47 from
60th Avenue to T.H. 694, on the south by T.H. 694, and on the west by
the Mississippi River.
I. Ward No. 3, Precinct No. 3 is established as the area bounded as follows:
On the north by T.H. 694, on the east by 7th Street from T.H. 694 to
the south limits and by the easterly City limits from that point to the
south limits of the City, on the south by the south City limits, on the
west by the Mississippi River.

SECTION 1.03 That said Ward and Precinct Boundaries are further herein
established and delineated as shown on the map hereo£. Attached
is Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof by reference; and whenever and wherever
a conflict shall appear between the boundaries as noted and provided on said
map and the lines noted and.described in Section 1.02, then the boundaries as
noted in said map shall prevail.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 30TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1971.
