That the follaaing section of the Fridley Charter be amendec3 as follaas:
4.06. NOMINATIONS BY PETITION.
A� �
�e mode of election of all elective officers provi�ed for by this Charter
shall be by petition. The name of any elector of the City shall be printed
upon the ballot whenever a petition as hereinafter prescribed shall have beer.
filled in his/her behalf with the City Clerk. Such petition shall be signed
by at least ten (10) electors qualified to vote for the office in question.
No elector shall sign petitions for more candiclates thar. the rumiber of pl�ces
to be filled at the election, and should he/she ao so his/her signature shall
be void as to the petition or petitions last filed. P11 nanination petiticns
shall be in the hands of the City Clerk not nore than one hundred thirty (130)
days nor less than one hundred (100) ciays before the general election at which
time the filings shall be closed. The City Clerk shall prepare the ballcts
with the names of the candidates for an office in a manner to be provided by
� ordinance. Each petition, when presented, must be accompanied by a fi�e
dollar ($5.00) filing fee. (Ref. Special Election 4/12/60, General Election
