Mr, Smith informed the Authority that he had sent in a letter of

Notion by Mro Meyer, seconded by Mr. Barrow, that this letter from
P.yman Smith, dated June 21, 1965 regarding his interest in the Madme
Building be entered in these minutes. Upon a voice vote, there beinq no

A motion was made by Mrs Darrow that the Authority execute the ieastu

Chairman herder read the proposed resolution and after much discuru

Item Is is to read, "the plans for the project shall conform with
the Urban Renewal Plan for the University Avenue Area."
Item lb is to read, "because the urban Renmral flan is now in the
process of development, the Phillips Oil Company shall consult with the
Authority, from time to time, on the development project plans."
Item 1c is to read, "in the event that construction precedes the
final adoption of the Urban Renewal Plan, approval must be given by the
Authority to the Phillips Oil Company project plans."

FHRA 1965 -11 (Phillips Oil Company) be adopted as corrected. Upon a
voice vote, there being no nays, said notion carried unanimously.
COMMUNICATIONS - FATHER KIM:
Chairman Herder explained that he and Mr. Barred had met with
Father Keefe to discuss the possible sareLce road locations at the cor-
ner of University and 61st Avenue in proximity to the church and school.
The Authority discussed three possible alternate locations fox
said service road, and agreed to try to resolve this matter as soon as
passible.
REPORT FR(X EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR:
Mr. Anderson reported that he had received a call from the Fridley
Office Supply Company, asking that they be considered when the Authority
requisitions for furniture. The Authority discussed the passibility of
rental furniture, bids and /or estimates. Mr. Anderson agreed to get in-
formation on the costs of renting furniture, and submit same to the Autho-
rity.
Mr. Anderson diseusse:i, with the Members, the question of hiring a
stenographer or secretary for the FHRA. Salary, hours and qualifications
for this position were reviewed. It was agreed that Mr. Anderson would
work with Mr. Wagner on the matter of applications for said positions,
Mr. Anderson reported that he has received a statement for the July
rent; also, that the Authority'as sign for the outside of the building has
been orderedi
The Authority discussed the auto insurance coverage for Lne Exocu-
tive Directorfe car.
COMMUNICATIONS - LLMU FROM MR. 5WART2Eia:
• Chairman Herder read a letter dated July 26, 1965, received from Mr.
Shartzel. The Authority reviewed the letter and then discussed diLferwt
areas of the proposed renewal plan, and the possible eligibility or In-
eligibility of these areas, plus the diffem,)t qualification categorlea
for renewal. Mr. Alberts pointed out the different sectionn that r*J*
be questionable.

Mr. Alberts discussed the matter of lanvA disposition., and the
Authority's position and prerogative in regard to this watter.
He also suggested an informal meeting vraxh Commissions and City
Officials to review the prnjosed renewal projects, before any public
bearings are held.
Mr. Alberts discussed the matter of relocation and quoted favor-
able statistics of an actual survey check That had been made.

This letter is written for the purpose of disclosing to the Commission
in writing the interest that I have in the Hadsen Building at 6641 Uni-
versity Avenue Northeast in the City of Fridley.
This building was purchased by ny office, nwasly; Hal.r& Smith, Hedlund,
Juster, Forsberg and Feikama, about the first of Jansary, 1965, from the
Madsen Realty Company, a corporation. The present rentals are being
handled by a trade name known as Madsen Building Rentals, which is a
trade name solely owned by the partnership just referred too
This information is given to the Authority,,, pursuant to Section 462.431
of the Minnesota Statutes which requires such a disclosure in writing
to the Authority and that the disclosure shall be entered upon the Min-
utes of the Authority,
