Fridley Housing & Redevelopment Authority
Subject: Letter of Resignation
Executive Director -
ALLAN E. ANDERSON
Inasmuch as the proposed Urban Renewal programs planned for the City of
Fridley have been canceled by the failure of a bond issue to provide local
financial participation, I feel that in the interest of economy and in the
fact that the new administration has demonstrated its opposition to any Urban
Renewal plan, I must hereby tender my resignation.
The FHRA has been advised that the)Federal Government intends to terminate
the projects now under contract and will not accept the proposed City
Center or Riverview Project Survey and Planning Applications.
I have informed the Urban Renewal Administration (URA) that I, with your
approval, intend to immediately curtail our operations and prepare the
books for a final URA audit.
I intend to remain in my present position as the full -time Executive
Director until the projects are closed out, on or about 1 January 1966.
I further wish to state that ii the Commissioners feel it necessary and
advisable, I will continue to serve the Commission on a one dollar (81.00)
per year retainer fee basis.
Sincerely,
Allan E. Anderson
Executive Director
