Mr. Barrow moved that the bills. from Hodne Associates which are referred to
in the minutes of January 12, 1966 be specified as $6,386.50 for the University
Survey and Planning Study and $1,777.50 for the City Center Feasibility Study.
Motion seconded by Mr. Meyer. There being no nays, said motion passed unani-
mously,

Mrs. Mullin made a motion that the bill of $78 be paid to the Minneapolis Star
and Tribune for advertising the disposal of office furniture. The advertisement
was printed in the paper for fifteen days as required by law. Mr. Meyer seconded
the motion. 'There being no nays, said motion carried unanivaouely.

Mr. Barrow made a motion that a bill of $70 submitted by the George M. Hanson
Company, C.P.A., Jenusry 280 1966, for final audit be paid. Mr. Meyer seconded
the motion. There being no usys, said motion carried unanimously.
BALANCC OF FUNDS:
The balance on hand as of January 20, 1966 was $976.36. The present balance
is $896.36. The two "remaining items to be entered in the financial record
are the outstanding Haft bill and an insurance rebate.
M BUSMSS:
Executive Director Allan Anderson will file an estimated final report of
expenditures with the URA, thereby complying with a letter received from the
USA, December 142 1965.
RIVERVIEW PROZCT:
1we, Authority members were requested to meet with the newly formed Riverview
Heights Committee in order to discuss possible solutions to the flooding problems

in the Riverview Heights area. The sheeting vas hold on Saturday, January 29,
1966. The representatives of the Housing Au4hGricy crent over data on the area
which had been compiled under the Housing Authority by Hodne Associates. The
FHSA Commissioners expressed their opinion to the comr ttee that the urban
renewal program will ultimately be the most economical solution for the City
and most equitable to -tbe residents. The new committee was urged to consider
restudy of urban renewal proposals during the course of Les deliberations.
The FHBA strongly reeomamade that the City Council review the proposed
detailed street plans of the intersections at University Avenue and Mississippi
Street, University Avows and 61st Avenue, and University Avenue and 57th
Avenue. 2h9se plans mere developed under the University Survey and Planning
Study and the City Center feasibility Study. The intersection plans have
been recommended by the Minnesota Highway Department engineers, the City Planner,
and have been reviewed and examined by the Fridley Planning Commission,
Mrs. Mullin made a motion that the meeting be adjourned. Mr. Meyer seconded
the motion* Viere being no nays, said motion passed unanimously.

MEMBERS ABSENT: Johnson, Muri (Mr. Muri has moved out of Fridley)
ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN:
Mr. Mahurin nominated Mr. Stan Carlson as Chairman of the Authority.
Mr. Carlson was elected unanimously. Mr. Carl Paulson agreed to
serve as the temporary secretary until the full Commission is
active and a secretary can be elected.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
