PRQTECTS WITHIN THE TA% INCREMENT DISTRICT FOR

WHEREAS, the HRA has reviewed imFiroved �iublic use and perceptian of the
University Avenue Corridor; ana
WHII2EAS, the HRA is concerned about the im�cts of surface water quality in
the Notth Area improv�nent district an�3 the Nature Center; anci
WHEREAS, there is a requirement to divert some traffic off the Old Center
Avenue; and
WEIII2,EAS, there is a need for �rking in the Fridley Plaza area as a result of
redevelopnent and expansion; and
WHII2EAS, after discussion with the City Council, the EIRA finds a rieed for
sharirig the $1 million expense for improviny water quality in the Pioore Lake
Tax Increment District.
rI1W, 7iI�REE�RE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing auci Redevelopn�ent Authority of
the City of Fridley, that the tollowiny pro�ects anci budgets be authorized for
construction in 1988:
a. University Avenue Corridor -$1.5 million
b. Public Parking Ramp -$1 m�llion
c. Rice Creek Read Diversion -$.6 million
d. Moore Lake Water Quality -$.5 million
e. North Area A�nding -$.35 million
BE IT RF�OLVED that the HRA staff be autharized to pre�.are the necessary
pro7ect documents for City Council actior� and subsequent contract
ac�ninistration.
