Chairperson Johns called the January 10, 2006, meeting to order at 7:03 p.m.

APPROVAL OF DECEMBER 13, 2005, ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY & ENERGY COMMISSION
MINUTES:
MOTION by Commissioner , seconded by Commissioner to approve the
December 13, 2005, Environmental Quality & Energy Commission minutes.
UPON A VOICE VOTE, ALL VOTING AYE, CHAIRPERSON JOHNS DECLARED THE MOTION
CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

Chairwoman Johns invited Commission members to introduce themselves to the newest member of
the Commission, Tina Nelson. Then, Ms. Nelson introduced herself. She has lived in Fridley with her
husband for 3 years and wanted to get involved in the community. She currently works for the
Metropolitan Council.
NEW BUSINESS
State of Minnesota Clean Water Legacy Act
Chairwoman Johns introduced the topic and opened the discussion of Fridley's perspective about the
2006 Clean Water Legacy Act proposed State legislation.
Mr. Svanda relayed his research on former versions of the Clean Water Legacy Act.
