MIN 1951-JUL 30 - 00025980 411 MINUTES OF SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING OF THE VILLAGE OF FRIDLEY, July 30, 1951 A special meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Fridley, Minnesota, was held at the Steiger Garage on the 30th day of July, 1951. The following members of the Council were present: Hartman, Gottwald and Steiger. The following members were absent: Bacon and Norling. Mayor Hartman called the meeting to order at 9:00 o'clock P.M. and stated that the purpose of the meeting was to consider the plans and specifications for the new Village building. Ar. Gottwald made an ex— tensive report on the details of the new building. Steiger moved and Gottwald seconded that the plans and specifications as now drawn be approved and that the Village Attorney insert an advertise— ment for bids on the building stating that such bids shall require a ten per cent good faith check or bond, and that the construction should be completed within a definite period of time, particula4 that the fire barn portion should ready for occupancy by the fire equipment not later than November 15, 1951. There was a motion by Gottwald and second by Steiger to pay the sum of $1,000.00 to Art Christianson, the grantor of the four lots purchased by the Village. All ayod.
