RESOLUTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR
ONE HEAVY DUTY TRUCK WITH DUMP BODY.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Fridley, as follows:
1. That it is in the interest of the City to
purchase the following items or materials:
ONE HEAVY DUTY TRUCK WITH DUMP BODY.
2. A copy.of the plans and specifications for
the above described items and materials with a
proposal for the method of purchase and the pay -
ment thereof have been presented to the Council
by.the City Manager and the same are hereby
approved and adopted as the plans and specifications,
and the method of acquisition and payment to be
required by the City with respect to the
- acquisition of said items and materials.
3. The purchase of said items and materials as
described above shall be effected by sealed bids
to be received and opened by the City on the 26th
day of March, 1959. The City Manager is directed
and authorized to advertise for the purchase
of said items and materials by sealed bid pro-
posals under notice as provided by law and the
charter of the City of Fridley, the notice to
be substantially in form as that shown by
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part
of by reference. Said notice shall be published
at least 15 days in the official newspaper of the
City of Fridley.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 26TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1959,
BY THE CITY COUNCIL.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Fridley,

Anoka County, Minnesota.

March 5, 12, 1959
Anoka County, Minnesota, will receive bids at the office of the
City Manager of said city until 7:30 o'clock P.M., on the 26th day
of March, 1959, for the furnishing of the following items and
materials:
ONE HEAVY DUTY TRUCK WITH DUMP BODY
All bids will be considered by said city council at a meeting
held on said date in the Council Chambers at 7:30 o'clock P.M.,
and will then be acted upon or at a date then to be determined.
All proposals shall be for items and materials prescribed in
the plans and specifications therefor prepared by the City Man -
ager of said City, reference to which is made for a more detailed
and complete description. Each bid shall be accompanied by a
certified check, or bond of not less than 5% of the bid, which
check or bid bond shall be forfeited if the bidder neglects or
refuses to enter into a contract or to furnish a 100% performance
bond after his proposal shall have been accepted.
The Council reserves the right to the following:
1. Defer acceptance of any proposal for a period not to
exceed 30 days.
2. Rofect any and all bids and waive all informalities or
technicalities in any bid.
3. To accept the bid which it deems to be in the best int-
*rest or to be the most advantageous to the City.
The Council further reserves the right to consider such fee —

fora as the time of delivery or performance, experience and res-
ponsibility of the bidder, past performance of similar types of
item and material, availability of replacement parts and other
similar factors which it deems to be in the interest of the City.
All bids to be considered must meet the general conditions
provided in the plans and specifications therefor, and such
specifications therefor, and general conditions may be examined in
the office of the City Manager, or copies of the same may be
obtained from the office of the City Manager.
