RESOLUTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR
ONE POLICE CAR.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley
as follows:
1. That it is in the int erest of the City to
purchase the following items or materials:
,ONE POLICE PATROL CAR.
2. A copy of the plans and specifications for the
above described items and materials, together
with a proposal for the method of purchase and
the payment thereof have been presented to
the Council by City Manager and the same are
hereby approved and adopted as the plans and
specifications, and the method of acquisition
and payment to be required by the City with
respect to the acquisition of said items and
materials.
3. The purchase of said items and materials as
described above shall be effected by sealed
bids to be received and opened by the City
Council on the 11th day of June, 1959. The
city manager is directed and authorized to
advertise for the purchase of said items and
materials by sealed bid proposals under notice
as provided by law and the Charter of the City
of Fridley, the notice to be substantially in
form as that shown by Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and made a part of by reference. Said
notice shall be published at least 15 days or
thru,two (2) publications in the official
newspaper of the City of Fridley.

EXHIBIT "A"
CITY OF FRIDLEY
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE IS REMY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Fridley
Anoka County, Minnesota, will receive bids at the office of the
City Manager of said City until 7:30 o'clock P.M., on the 11th day
of June, 1959, for the furnishing of the following items and
materials-
ONE POLICE PATROL CAR
All bids will be considered by said City Council at a meeting
held on said date in the Council Chambers at 7:30 o'clock P.M.,
and will then be acted upon or at a date then to be determined.
All proposals shall be for items and materials prescribed in the
plans and specifications therefor prepared by the City Manager
of said City, reference to which is made for a more detailed and
complete description. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certi-
fied check, or bond of not less than 5% of the bid, which check
or bid bond shall be forfeited if the bidder neglects or refuses
to enter into a contract or to furnish a 100% performance bond
after his proposal shall have been accepted.
The Council reserves the right to the following:
1. Defer acceptance of any proposals for a period not to
exceed 30 days.
2. Reject any and all bids and waive all informalities or
technicalities in any bid.
3. To accept the bid which it deems to be in the best int-
erest or to be the most advantageous to the City.
The Council further reserves the right to consider such factors
' as the time of delivery or performance, experience and responsi-
bility of the bidder, past performance of similar types of item
and material, availability of replacement parts and other similar
factors which it deems to be in the interest of the City.
All bids to be considered must meet the general conditions
provided in the plans and specifications therefor, and such
specifications and general conditions may be examined in the
office of the City Manager.
