RES 1960-03 - 00012631R- SOLUTION NO. I - 1960
(In conjunction with other communities)
WHEREAS, The Council of the City of Fridley previously
has authorized and directed the Consulting Engineering firm
of Comstock and Davis to prepare a complete report on the
sanitary sewer system needs of the City of Fridley, and
'uIHEREA37 It has been determined that a method of full
and complete disposal of sewage is a need not only etiisting
for the City of Fridley but for various other municipalities
located near the City of Fridley, and
WHEREAS, It appears that the needs of the City of Fridley
as to a complete system of sewage disposal can reasonably be
achieved and obtained under a mutual agreement for the con -
struction, maintenance and operation of such a system with
one or more other municipalities, and
WHEREAS2 it appears in the best interest of the City
of Fridlev that it study and investigate the feasibility
and advisability of such a system,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOUIED by the Council of the
City of Fridley:
Section 1. That upon receipt from any other municipality
of a resolution similar in content and
meaning to this resolution the City Manager, the Con -
sulting Fngineer, and the City Attorney of the City of
Fridley are hereby authorized and directed to act in
cooperation with the officers, engineers and attorney
of such other municipality or municipalities, and there-
after, as soon as they are able, to report their findings
to this Council.
Section 2. That the Clerk of the City of Fridley shall
upon receipt of anv resolution as described
in Section 1. above Cive notice to this council of said
receipt.
Section 1. That the intent of this resolution is to de-
termine the feasibility and advisability,
only, of a joint and mutual agreement with one or more
other municipalities for the ultimate disposal of sewage
and that upon delivery of said report to the City Council
the officers above named shall take no further proceedings
xcept upon further direction and authorization of the
�ity Council.
