RESOLUTION TO ADTT: ?aL FOR BIDS
BE IT RESOLYED by the Council of the City of Fridley7 as
follows:
1. That it is in the interest of the City to award 'bid
contracts for the foiloving items or materials:
6,000 gallons (more or less) of Regular Gasoline
9,000 gallons (more or less) of Ethyl Gasoline
2. A copy of the specifications for the above described
items and materials, together with a proposal for
the method of purchase and the payment thereof have
been presented to the Council by the City ;Manager
and the same are hereby approved and adopted as
the plans and specifications, and the method of
acqusition and pavment to be required by the City
with respect to the acquisition of said items and
materials.
3. The purchase of said items and materials as described
above shall be effected by sealed bids to be received
and opened by the City of iridley on the 16 day
of February 7 lb6o. The City Manager is
directed and aut`-:orized to advertise for the pur-
chase of said items and materials by sealed bid
proposals under notice as p rovided by law and the
Charter of the City of 'ridley, the notice to be
substantially in form as that shown by Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and made a part of by reference.
Said notice shall be nubLished at least twice in
the official newspaper of the City of 1'ridley.

EXHIBIT "A"
CITY OF FRIDLEY
BID NOTICE
The City "ouncil of the City of Fridley, Anoka County,
Minnesota, will accept bids on Gasoline on the 16th day of
February, 1960 until 12:00 o'clock noon, on said date. All
bids must meet the minimum requirements of the specifications
Failure to comply with this section can result in disquali-
fications of the bid.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's
Check, Cash or Bid Bond in an amount of not less than 10% of the
bid, which check, cash or bond shall be forfeited if bidder neg-
lects or refuses to enter into a contract, after his bid had
been accepted.
The City reserves the right to accept the bid which is
determined to be in the best interest of the City. The City
reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any
informalities or technicalities in any bid.
The City Council also reserves the right to consider such
factors as time of delivery or performance, experience, responsi-
bility, of the bidder, past performance of similar types of items
or materials, availability of products and other similar factors
that it may determine to be in the beat interest of the City.
Copies of the specifications and general conditions may
be examined in the Office cf the City Manager.
All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and plainly
marked on the outside with "gasoline bid ".
