SPECIFICATIONS (STREETS - T_NrSBRUCK 1 AND 2)
WHEREAS, a resolution of the City Council adopted the 16th
day of August, 1960, set the date for hearing on the proposed im-
provements, as specifically noted in the Notice of Hearing attach -
ed hereto for reference as Exhibit "A" (Exhibit "A" - See Publica-
tion Notices under dates of August 25th and September 1, 1960),
and
WHEREAS, all of the property owners whose property is liable
to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in
said notice) are being given ten (10) days published notice of the
Council Hearing through two (2) weekly publications of the requir-
ed notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of
Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows:
1. Comstock and Davis, Consulting Engineers, are hereby
designated as the Engineers for this improvement. They
shall prepare final plans and specifications for the
making of all of the improvements as noted in the Notice
of Fearing on the same, as are noted (in Exhibit "A ") in
said notice.
2. That the work above may be consolidated with other areas
as one improvement.
3. The work to be performed under this project may be per-
formed under one or more contracts, as may be deemed ad-
' visable upon receipt of bids.

A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENTS, APPROVAL OF PLANS,
AND ORDERING ADVERTISING FOR BIDS - W & S #38 -1960
WHEREAS, the resolution of the City Council adopted the 19th
day of July, 1960, set the date for hearing on the proposed im-
provements, as specifically noted in the notice of hearing attach -
ed hereto for reference as EXHIBIT "A" (Exhibit "A" - See Publica-
ticn Notices under dates of July 21st and July 28th, 1960), and,
WHEREAS, all the property owners whose property is liable to
be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in said
notice) were given ten (1'?) days onblished notice of the Council
hearing through two (2) weekly publications of the required notice,
and the hearing was held and the property owners heard thereon at
the hearing, as noted in said notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of
Fridley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the following improvements heretofore proposed by
Council resolution are hereby ordered to be effected and
completed as soon as reasonably possible, to -wit:
a. All of the improvements as noted in the notice of
hearing on the same as are noted (in Exhibit "A")
in said notice, except (none); that the work in-
volved in said improvements as listed above shall
hereafter be designated as:
WATER AND SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 38 -1960
2. The plans and specifications prepared by Comstock and
Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, for such improve-
ments and each of them, pursuant to the Council resolu-
tions heretofore adopted, a copy of which plans and
specifications are hereto attached and made a part
hereof, are hereby approved and shall be filed with
the City Clerk.
3. The work to be performed under WATER AND 9RWER IMPROVE -
MENT PROJECT NO. 38 -1960, shall be performed under one
contract.
The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause to
be inserted in the official newspaper advertisements for
bids upon the making of such improvements under such ap-
proved Plans and specifications. The advertisement shall
be published for 3 weeks (at least 21 days), and shall
specify the work to be done and will state that bids will
be opened and considered at 8:00 o'clock P.M., on the
6th day of September, 1960, in the Council Chambers of
the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless
sealed and filed with the City Clerk, and accompanied by
a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to
the City for five percent (5 %) of the amount of such bid.
That the advertisement for bids for WATER AND SLItiTE7 IM-
MOVE.MENT PROJECT NO. 38 -1960 shall be substantially in
form as that noted in Exhibit "B" attached hereto for
reference and made a part hereof. (Exhibit "B" - See
Project File under W&S Project No. 38- 1960).

WHEREAS, a resolution of the City Council adopted the 16th

NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, THE City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County,
Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improve-
ments hereinafter described be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREPY GIVEN THAT on the 2ed day of
August, 1960, at 7:30 o'clock, P.M., the City Council will meet at
the City Hall in said City, and will at said time, and place hear
all parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part.
The general nature of the improvements is the const m etion
(in the lands and streets noted below) of the following improve-
ments, to -wit:

A. Sanitary Sewer Lateral and Service Connections located in all
of the streets and serving all of the area described as follows:
1. Lots 2, 3, and 4, Auditor's Subdivision No. 94, and Lots
3 to 9 inclusive, Auditor's Subdivision No. 25 and all
lands adjacent and abutting thereto.

Minnesota Laws 1953, Chapter 398, and laws amendatory thereof, and
in conformity with the City Charter.

EXHIBIT "B"
NOTICE TO
Sealed bids will be received until 8:00 o'clock P.M., on the 6th d»„
of September, 1960, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota,
at the office of the City Manager, for the furnishing of work and materials
for the installation of Water and Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project No. 38.
The project consists of the following approximate quantities:
2,590 Lin. Ft. 6" CIP Watermain with appurtenances.
2,340 Lin. 8" VCP Sanitary Sewer with appurtenances.
All bids must be made upon printed proposal forms, furnished and in
accordance with the plans and specifications. Plans and specifications
may be examined at the office of the City Manager and copies may be had
for the Contractor's individual use by applying to the Engineers, Com-
stock & Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, 1446 County Road "J ", Minneapolis,
21, Minnesota, Telephone: SUnset 4 -9346. Plans and specifications may be
had by depositing $25.00 per copy.
Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for the work and accom-
panied by a cash deposit, certified check on a responsible bank in the State
of Minnesota, or a bidder's bond, and made payable without condition to the
City of Fridley, Minnesota, in the amount of not less than 5% of the total
amount of the bid accompanying such cash deposit, certified check or bidder's
bond. The City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities in any
bid received, and to reject any or all bids received, without explanation.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty days.
