RESOLUTION NO. 110A - 1960
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING POLLING PLACES AND ELECTION JUDGES
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the City Council of the
City of Fridley, Minnesota, at a Special meeting thereof on Sep-
tember 12, 1960.
Section 1. That on the 4th day of October, 1960, there
shall be a Primary Election for the purpose of
voting on the following:
ELECTION OF:
Councilman - 1st Ward
Section 2., That the pol'bing place for said election shall
be as follows:
Ward #1 Hayes School
Section 3. That the polling place will be open from
7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Section 4. That the following people are hereby appointed
to act as judges for said election except that
the City Clerk is hereby authcrized to appoint qualified substi-
tutes in cases of conflict of interest as set forth in Chapter 49
Section 4.05 of the City Charter.

A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROvEIZXT AND FINAL PLANS
AND SPECIFICATIONS - RICKARD AND ALDEN V,AY
WHEREAS, Resolution #102 -1960 of the City Council adopted the
16th day of August, 1960, set the date for hearing on the proposed
improvements, as specifically noted in the Notice of Hearing attach-
ed hereto for reference as Exhibit "A" (See Publication Notices un-
der dates of August 25th and September 1st5 1960), and
WHEREAS, All of the property owners whose property is liable
to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in
said notice) were given ten (10) days published notice of the
Council Hearing through two (2) weekly publications of the required
notice, and the hearing was held and the property owners heard there-
on at the hearing, as noted in said notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the
City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the following improvements proposed by Council
Resolution #102 -1960 are hereby ordered to be effect -
ed and completed as soon as reasonably possible, to-
wit:
a. All of the improvements as noted in the notice of
hearing on the same as are noted in (Exhibit "A")
said notice.
That the work above may be consolidated with other
areas as one improvement.
2. The work to be performed under this project may be
performed under one or more contracts as may be
deemed advisable upon receipt of.bids.
3. Comstock and Davis, Consulting Engineers, are hereby
designated as the Engineer for this imorovement.
They shall -re pare final plans and specifications
for the making of such improvement.

A RESOLUTION ORDERING PRELIMINARY PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS
AND ESTIMATES OF THE COSTS THEREOF: (STORM SM ER AND
STREET SURFACING - FILTMORE AND BUCHANAN STREETS)
BE IT RESOLVED, by the.. Council of the City of Fridley, as
follows:
1. That it appears in the interest of the City and of the
property owners affected that there be constructed cer-
tain improvements, to -wit:
a. STCRI SEWER and appurtenances in the following
lands:
1. That area South of T. H. #100, East of T. H.
#65, North of South Corporate Limits and
West of East Corporate Limits.
b. STREET SURFACING, including stabilized base, grad-
ing, graveling, blacktooping, curb and gutter, in
the following lands and along the following streets:
1. That property adjacent and abutting thereof
on 53rd Avenue N.E. from Fillmore to Johnson;
Fillmore to 53rd to 507 feet South; "fierce
from 53rd to 507 feet South; Buchanan from
53rd to South Corporate Limits and Lincoln
Street from 53rd to Buchanan.

NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County,
Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improvements
hereinafter described be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREP.Y GIVEN T''AT on the 6th day of Sept-
ember, 1960, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet at the City
Hall in said City, and will at said time, and place hear all parties
interested in said improvements in whole or in part.
The general nature of the improvements is the construction (in the
lands and streets noted below) of the following improvements, to -wit:
CONSTRUCTION ITEMS:
A. Sanitary Sewer Lateral and Service Connections located in all of the
streets and serving all of the area described as follows:
1. All those streets lying within the following described lines:
Bordered on the North by old 76th Way N.E., and on the South by
Alden Way N.E., and on the Fast by East River Road N.E., and
an the West ry the Mississippi River.
ESTIMATED COST .......... ..............................$ 23,675.00
B. Water Mains and Service Connections in the following lands and
along the following streets:
Same area as Item A, Subdivision 1, above.
ESTIMATED COST .......... ..............................$ 25,100.00
THAT THE TOTAL ESTIMATED COST OF SAID IMPROVEMENT IS ....... $ 48,775.00
THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENTS (AND EACH
OF THEM) IS AS FOLLOWS:
All of the lands abutting all those streets lying within the following
described lines:
Bordered on the North by old 76th Way N.E., and on the South
by Alden Way N.E., and on the East by East River Road N.E.,
and on the West by the Mississippi River.
All of said lands to be assessed proportionately according to the
benefits received by such improvements.
That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improvements
as separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise provided by the
Council all under the following authority, to -wit: Minnesota Laws 1953,
Chapter 398, and laws amendatory thereof, and in conformity withthe
City Charter.
