A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PRELIMINARY REPORT AND CALLING A PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE MATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS:
(SECOND STREET BETWEEN 57th AND 58th)
WHEREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed to
be in the interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners
affected thereby.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, as
follows:
1. That the preliminary report submitted by Comstock and Davis,
Inc., Consulting Engineers, is hereby received and accepted.
2. That this Council will meet on the 15th cay of November, 1960,
at 7:30 o'click P.M. at the City Hall in the City of Fridley
for the purpose of holding a Public Hearing on the improvements
noted in the Notice attached hereto and made a part thereof
by reference, Exhibit "A ".
3. That the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements
and each of them as noted in said notice are ?11 the lands
and are -s as noted in said notice: All of the same to be
assessed proportionately according to the benefits received.
4. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to give
notice of such Public Hearing by publishing a notice
thereof in the official newspa.per of the City of Fridley
according to law, such notice to be substantially in the
form =nd substance of the notice attached hereto as Ex-
hibit 11,411.

The matter of the construction of certain improvements, and
the he ^rings held heretofore on the same were discussed, and Council
being full advised in the matter, Councilman Wolke introduced the
following resolution and moved its adoption.

NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
1AMEAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County,
Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improve-
ments hereinafter described be made.
NOW, THERFFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 15th day of
November, 1960, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet
at the City Hall in said City, and will at said time, and place
hear all parties interested in said improvements in whole or in
part.
The general nature of the improvements is the construction ( in
the lands and streets noted below of the Following improvements, to -wit:
CONSTRUCTION ITEMS
A Sanitary Sewer lateral and Service Connections located in all of the
Streets and serving all of the area described as follows:
1. That area on 2nd Street between 571 Avenue N.E. and 58th Avenue
N.E., 57� Avenue N.E. between 2nd Street and 2� Street, and
2J Street from 57-2L Avenue N.E. to 58th Avenue N.E. and all lands
adjacent and abutting thereto.

B. Water Mains and Service Connections in the following lands and
along the following streets:

THAT THE TOTLL ESTIMATED COST OF SAID IMPROVEMENT IS ......... $ 9)940.00
THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENTS ( R4D EACH
OF THEM) IS AS FOLLOWS:
All of the lands abutting all those streets lying within the following
described lines: That area on 2nd Street between 57� Avenue N.E. and
58th Ave. N.F,., 573 Avenue N.E. between 2rd and 2-,� Street, and 2�- Street
from 572 Avenue N.E. to 58th Avenue N.E., and all lands adjacent and
abutting thereto.
All of said lands to be assessed proportionately according to the
benefits received by such improvements.
That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improvements
as separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise provided by
the Council all under tine following authority, to -wit: Minnesota Laws
1953, Chapter 398 and law amendatory thereof, and in conformity with
the City Charter.
