A RESOIdiTION ORDERING PRELD-TINARY PLANS, SPECI-
FICATTONs, ESTI °RATES OF TTIF, COSTS THEREOF:
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley, as
follows:
1. That it appears in the interest of the City and of
the property owners affected that there be construct-
ed certain improvements, to -wit:
a. STORM SEWER, storm water drainage pipe, man-
holes, catch basins and appurtenances in the
following lands and along the following
streets:
1. Oak Creek Addition, Plat 2, Oak Creek
Addition, and Lots 36 and 38, Auditors
Subdivision #77.
That the firm of Comstock and Davis, Inc., is hereby
authorized and directed to draw preliminary plans and specifi-
cations and to tabulate the results of his or their estimates
of the costs of said improvements, and to make a preliminary
report of his or their findings to the Council not later than
at their earliest convenience.

RESOLUTION NO. 26 - 1960
A RESOLUTION IMPOSING LOAD LI14ITS ON PUBLIC
cTRFETS AND HIGHWAYS IN THE CITY OF FRIDLEY
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley, as
follows:
1. That pursuant to Ordinance No. 2 and Ordinance No. 94
of the City of Fridley that commencing on the 1st day
of April, 1960 and continuing until the 15th day of
May, 1960, unless sooner terminated or thereafter con-
tinued, no vehicle shall be driven or operated upon
any street or public hi .ghway in the City under juris-
diction of the City where the weight of such vehicle
exceeds-
4 Ton Per Axle.
2. The above restriction shall not apply with respect to
the following named streets or public highways, to -wit:
a. Beginning at T.H. #100 and Horizon Drive, thence,
West on Service Road to 'Main Street, thence, South
on Main Street to 53rd Avenue.
and the weight limit with respect to such street and
highway is:
9 Ton Per Axle.
3. Notice of these restrictions shall be published
and posted with respect to each of such streets
and highways and when so published and posted
the restrictions shall be in full force and ef-
fect; all as provided in accordance with Minne-
sota Statutes, Sec. 169.37 and the provisions
thereof, under Ordinance No. 2.
4* A vehicle in excess of such limits may be operated
or driven upon a street or public highway in the
City without violation of law when the same is
done under Special Permit thereof, issued in accor-
dance with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes,
_ Sec. 169.86 which are adopted and made a part
hereof by reference the same as if fully incor-
porated herein.
5. That school bus operators are given special permit
to proceed with normal operation on their regular -
ly established routes and at regularly established
hours, said permits to be issued by the City Mana-
ger.

RESOLUTION NO. 27 - 1960
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND MAYOR TO
ENTER INTO AN AGRE14ENT WITH THE STATE OF MINNESOTA
FOR THE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT THE INTER-
SECTION OF T.H. #65 AND MISSISSIPPI STREET.
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the State Highway Depart-
ment of Minnesota, that traffic volume at the intersection of
T.H. A65 and Mississippi Street in the City of Fridley, justifies
the installation of traffic control signals, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley previously
had asked for such a traffic volume count because it was felt
that traffic signals were needed at said intersection, and
WHEREAS, the City Council understands that installation of
said signals will require that said City of Fridley share the
cost of said installation equally with the State of Minnesota
and also provide for the necessary power and also maintain the
system after installation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Fridley:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager and Mayor herewith
are authorized and directed to enter into
an agreement with the State of Minnesota, covering the instal-
lation of this equipment.
