A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR
T? CO`STRUCTION OF AIN ON -SALE OUTLET.
TdHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley has deemed
it advisable and necessary to construct a building to house an
on -sale outlet at 3710 East River Road, and,
7n1HERFAS, it has been determined that said building and fix-
tures can be financed by surplus and revenues of the Municipal
Liquor Store, and,
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the City to award bid
contracts for the following items and materials:
Walls, footings, sidewalk, floor
Roof and Front
Plumbing
Heating and Cooling
Electrical
Inside Fixtures, including walk -in cooler
AND, WHEREAS, a copy of the specifications and plans for the
above described items and materials together with a proposal for
the method of purchase and the payment thereof, have been present-
ed to the Council by the City Manager.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City
of Fridley, as follows:
1.
That the specifications and plans above named are here-
by approved and adopted as the clans and specifications
and are attached 'hereto and made a part of by reference.

2.
The method of purchase and payment thereof as presented
to the Council by the City Manager is hereby approved
and adopted.
3.
Purchase of said items and materials as described above
shall be effected by sealed bids to be received and
opened by the City of Fridley on the 7th day of June,
1960, at 8:00 o'clock P.M.

The City Manager is directed and authorized to adver-
tise for the purchase of said items and materials by
sealed bid proposals under notice as provided by
law and the Charter of the City of Fridley, the
notice to be substantially in Form as that shown
by EXHIBIT "A° attached 'hereto and made a part
of by reference. Said notice shall be published
at least twice in the official newspaper of the
City of Fridley.

A RESOLUTION CHANGING CERTIFICATION FROM ONE YEAR
TO TWENTY YEARS - SW -16 MARIAN HILLS
WHEREAS, The Certification of Special Assessments for
Special Imorovement ?16 -1958 fund in the plat of Marian Hills
was on a one year basis.
WHEREAS, Certain lots in this plat were owned by indivi-
duals prior to the time this improvement was put in.
WHEREAS, It would work a severe hardship on these indivi-
duals to pay the assessment in one lump sum.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City

CITY OF FRIDLEY
BID NOTICE
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS:
1. Sealed proposals for the construction of an addition to the
Fridley Municipal Liquor Store at 37th Avenue N.E. and East
' River Road, will be received by the City Council of the City
of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota for opening in the Council
Chamber 6431 University Ave. N.E. at 8:00 o'clock P.M., on
Tuesday, June 7, 1960.
2. Proposals will be received for general, mechanical and elec-
trical work, Proposals shall be in accordance with drawings
and specifications prepared by S.C. Sriley and Associates, archi-
tects, Minneapolis, Minnesota and shall be submitted in duplicate
on bidder's letter -head in exact accordance with the Proposal
Form accompanying the specifications, and shall be enclosed in
sealed envelopes identified with the job name, the bidder's name
and the type of work covered by the proposal.
3. Copies of the plans and specifications are on file at the
office of the Fridley City Clerk and are available for inspec-
tion without charge at the office of the architect, S.C. Smiley
and Associates, 1750 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis 3, Minnesota,
or may be procured from the Architect upon deposit of $25.00 as
a guarantee to the safe return in good condition. The full amount
of ($25.00) will be repaid upon return of the plans and speci-
fications within 5 days after receipt of bids. Bidder who de not
submit bids will not receive refund of deposit but shall be held
for return of plans and specifications on or before bid due date.
' 4. Each bidder must submit with his proposal a Bid Bond, Cert-
ified Check, or Cashier's Check equal to 5% of the amount of
his proposal payable to the City of Fridley, as a guarantee of
prompt execution of the contract documents, and that he will fur -
nish bond acceptable to the City of Fridley covering performance
of the contract. No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty
days after dates of opening of bids.
5. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals
and to waive any irregularities therein.
