A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENTS, APPROVAL
OF PLANS, AND ORDER1idG ADVERTISING FOR BIDS.
WHEREAS, the resolution of the City Council adopted the
15th day of March, 1960, set the date for hearing on the pro-
posed improvements, as specifically noted in the notice of
hearing attached here to for reference as EXHIBIT "A ", and,
WHEREAS, all the property owners whose property is liable
to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as
noted in said notice) were given ten (10) days published notice
of the Council hearing through two weekly publications of
the required notice, and the hearing was held and the property
owners heard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the City
of Fridley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the following improvements heretofore proposed
by Council resolution are hereby ordered to be effect-
ed and completed as soon as reasonably possible,
to -wit:
a. All of the improvements as noted in the notice of
hearing on the same as are noted (in Exhibit "A")
in said notice, except (none); that the work in-
volved in said improvements as listed above shall
be consolidated as one improvement and shall here-
after be designated as:
SEWER AND WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 27 -1960
2. The plans and specifications prepared by Comstock and
Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, for such improve-
ments and each of them, pursuant to the Council reso-
lutions heretofore adopted, a copy of which plans and
specifications are hereto attached and made a part
hereof, are hereby approved and shall be filed with
the City Clerk.
3. The work to be performed under SEWER AND WATERTMAIN IM-
PROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 27 -1960, shall be performed under
one contract.
The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause to
be inserted in the official newspaper advertisements
for bids upon the making of such improvements under such
approved plans and specifications. The advertisement
shall be published for 3 weeks (at least 21 days), and
shall specify the work to be done and will state that
bids will be opened and considered 12:00 o'clock, Noon,
on the 6th day of June, 1960, in the Council chambers
of the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered
unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk, and accom-
panied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check
payable to the City for five percent (5 %) of the amount
of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for

shall be substantially in form as that noted in Exhi-
bit "B" attached hereto for reference and made a part
hereof.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed bids will be received, publicly opened and considered by the
City Counc *l of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, at the
office of the City Manager in said City on the 6th day of June, 1960,
at 12:00 o'clock Noon for the furnishing of work and materials for the
Installation of Sewer and Water And Storm Sewer Improvement Project #36.
The project consists of the following approximate quantities:
9,300 Lin. Ft. 8" and 6" Sanitary Sewer Lines with appurtenances.
10,500 Lin. Ft. 6" and 1" Water Lines with appurtenances.
180 Lin. Ft. 15" CMP Storm Sewer with appurtenances.
All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared for the
City of Fridley, Minnesota, by Comstock and Davis, Inc. Consulting
Engineers, 1446 County Road "J ", Minneapolis, Minnesota, Telephone
SU 4 -9346.
Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the City
Manager, and copies may be obtained for the Contractor's individual
use by applying to the Engineers and depositing with the Engineers
$25.00 for each set. The deposit will be refunded to each bidder
submitting a bona -fide bid upon return of the documents in good con -'
dition within ten (10) days from the date of opening bid.
Bids must be made on the basis of each payment for the work and
accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check ( on a responsible
bank in the State of Minnesota ) or a bidder's bond, and made payable
without condition to the City of Fridley, Minnesota, in an amount
of not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids
and to waive any informalities in any bids received without expla-
nation.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days.
