A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVDIFNTS, AP °ROVAL OF PLANS,
AND ORDERING ADVERTISING FOR BIDS: PARKVIEW OAKS
WHEREAS, the resolution of the City Council adopted the
Ist day of March, 1960, set the date for hearing on the pro-
posed improvements, as specifically noted in the notice of hear-
ing attached hereto for reference as EXHIBIT "A ", and,
WHEREAS, all the property owners whose property is liable
to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted
in said notice) were given ten (10) days published notice of the
Council hearing through two 2 weekly publications of the re-
quired notice, and the hearing was held and the property owners
heard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the City
of Fridley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the following improvements heretofore proposed by
Council resolution are hereby ordered to be effected
and completed as soon as reasonably possible, to -wit:
-a. All of the improvements as noted in the notice of
hearing on the same as are noted (in Exhibit "A ")
in said notice, except (none); that the work in-
volved in said improvements as listed above shall
be consolidated as one improvement and shall here-
after be designated as:

2. The plans and specifications prepared by Comstock
and Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, for such im-
provements and each of them, pursuant to the Council
resolutions, heretofore adopted, a copy of which
plans and specifications are hereto attached and made
a part hereof, are hereby approved and shall be filed
with the City Clerk.
3. The work to be performed under SEWER AND WATERMAIN TM_
PROVEI• ?ENT PROJECT NO. 31 -1960, shall be performed un-
der one contract. ,
The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause
to be inserted in the official newspaper advertise-
ments for bids upon the making of such improvements
under such approved plans and specifications. The
advertisement shall be published for 3 weeks (at least
21 days), and shall specify the work to be done and
will state that bids will be opened and considered at
12:00 o'clock, Neon, on the 6th day of June, 1960, in
the Council chambers of the City Hall, and that no
bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with
the City Clerk, and accompanied by a cash deposit,
bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for
five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid. That
the advertisement for bids for SEWER AND WAIV MAIN IM-
PROVEPENT PROJECT N0. 31 -1960 shall be substantially
in form as that noted in Exhibit "B" attached hereto
for reference and made a part hereof.

NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County,
Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improve-
ments hereinafter described be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 15th day of
March, 1960, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet at the
City Hall in said City, and will at said time, and place hear all
parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed bids will be received, publicly opened and considered by the
City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, at the office
of the City Manager in said City on the 6th day of June, 1960, at 12:00
o'clock Noon for the furnishing of work and materials for the installation
of Sewer and Water and Storm Sewer Improvement Project Number 36.
The project consists of the following approximate quantities:
9,300 Lin. Fr. 8" and 6" Sanitary Sewer lines with appurtenances.
109500 Lin. Ft. 6" and 1" Water lines with appurtenances
180 Lin. Ft. 15" CMP Storm Sewer with appurtenances.
All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared for the
City of Fridley, Minnesota, by Comstock & Davis, Inc., Consulting
Engineers, 1446 County Road "J ", Minneapolis, Minnesota, Telephone
SUnset 4 -9346.
Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the City
Manager, and copies may be obtained for the Contractor's individual use
by applying to the Engineers and depositing with the Engineers $25.00
for each set. The deposit will be refunded to each bidder submitting a
bona —fide bid upon return of the documents in good condition within ten
(10) days from the date of opening bids.
Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for the work and
accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check (on a responsible bank
in the State of Minnesota) or a bidder's bond and made payable without
condition to the City of Fridley, Minnesota, in an amount of not less
than 5% of the total amount of the bid.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids,
and to waive any informalities in any bids received without explanation.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days.
