The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause

ments for bids upon the making of such improvements
under such approved plans and specifications. The

21 days), and shall specify the work to be done and
will state that bids will be opened and considered at
12:00 o'clock, Neon, on the 6th day of June, 1960, in
the Council chambers of the City Hall, and that no
bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with
the City Clerk, and accompanied by a cash deposit,
bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for
five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid. That
the advertisement for bids for SEWER AND WAIV MAIN IM-
PROVEPENT PROJECT N0. 31 -1960 shall be substantially
in form as that noted in Exhibit "B" attached hereto
for reference and made a part hereof.

A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVIIMENTS, APPROVAL OF PLANS,
AND ORDERING ADVERTISING FOR BIDS: LYNDALE - 6TH
WHEREAS, the resolution of the City Council adopted the 19th
day of April, 1960, set the date for hearing on the proposed im-
provements, as specifically noted in the notice of hearing attach-
ed hereto for reference as EXHIBIT "A ", and,
WHEREAS, all the property owners whose property is liable
to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in
said notice) were given ten (10) days published notice of the
Council hearing through two (2) weekly publications of the re-
quired notice, and the hearing was held and the property owners
heard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the City
of Fridley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the following improvements heretofore proposed

has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improvements hereinafter des-

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed bids will be received, publicly opened and considered by the
City Council. of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, at the
office of the City Manager in said City on the 6th day of June, 1960, at
12:00 o'clock Noon for the furnishing of work and materials for the inst-
allation of Sewer and Wat =r and Storm Sewer Improvement Project No. 36.
The project consists of the following approximate quantities:
9,300 Lin. Ft. 8" and 6" Sanitary Sewer lines with appurtenances.
10,500 Lin. Ft. 6" and 1" Water lines with appurtenances.
180 Lin. Ft. 15" CMP Storm Sewer with appurtenances
All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared for the City
of Fridley, Minnesota, by Constock & Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers,
11,46 County Road J. Minneapolis, Minnesota, Telephone Sunset 4 -9346.
Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the City
Manager, and copies may be obtained for the Contractor's individual use
by applying to the Engineers and depositing with the Engineers $25.00
for each set. The deposit will be refunded to each bidder submitting a
bona -fide bid upon return of the documents in good condition within ten
(10) days from the date of opening bids.
Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for the work and
accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check (on a responsible bank
in the State of Minnesota) or a bidder's bond and made payable without
condition to the City of Fridley, Minnesota, in an amount of not less
than 5% of the total amount of the bid.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and
to waive any informalities in any bids received without explanation.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days.
