RES 1960-89 - 000127801. That it appears necessary for the City to levy a tax
to be collected in the year 1961 in an amount in ex-
cess of the 30 mill limitation provided in the City
Charter, in order to provide sufficient monies for the
following purposes or funds:
a. General Fund
b. Bonds and Interest
C. Firements Relief
d. Public Employees Pension
For the purposes of such additional levy, the Council shall
meet on the 17th day of August, 1960, and hold a Public Hearing
with respect to such proposed additional levy. That all persons
interested therein may appear and be heard thereon. That notice
of such hearing shall be published for a period of three (3)
weeks in the official newspaper of the City.

A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING ASSESSMENT
FOR WATER I14PR.OVEMENT PROJECT N0. 23
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. The City Clerk has with the assistance of the engineers here-
tofore selected by this Council for such purpose, calculated the
proper amounts to be specially assessed for the WATER IMPROVEI,1ENT
PROJECT NO. 23, in said City against every assessible lot, piece
or parcel of land in accordance with the provisions of law, and
has prepared and filed with the City Clerk tabulated statements
in duplicate showing the proper description of each and every lot,
niece or parcel of land to be specially assessed and the amount
calculated against the same.
2. Notice has been duly published as required by law that this
Council would meet in special session at this time and place to
pass on the proposed assessment.
3. Said proposed assessment has at all times since its filing
been open to inspection and copying by all persons interested,
and an onnortunity has been given to all interested persons to
present their objections, if any, to such nronosed assessment,
or to any item thereof, and no objections have been filed; ex-
cept (none).
4. The amounts specified in the proposed assessment are changed
and altered as follows: (none)

5. This Council finds that each of the lots, pieces or parcels
of land enumerated in said proposed assessment as altered and
modified was and is specially benefited by the WATER IM°ROVEMENT
PROJECT NO. 23, in the amount in said proposed assessment as
altered and modified by the corrective roll in the amount set op-
posite the description of each such lot, piece or parcel of land
and that said amount so set out is hereby levied against each of
the respective lots, pieces or parcels of land therein described.
6. Such proposed assessment as altered, modified and corrected
is affirmed, adopted and confirmed, and the sums fixed and named
in said proposed assessment as altered, modified and corrected,
with the changes and alterations herein above made, are affirmed,
adopted and confirmed as the proper special assessment for each
of said lots, pieces or parcels of land respectively.
7. Said assessment so affirmed, adopted and confirmed shall be
certified to by the City Clerk and filed in his office and shall
thereupon be and constitute the special assessment for WATER IM-
PROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 23.
8. The amounts assessed against each lot, piece or parcel of
land shall bear interest from the date hereof until the same have
been paid at the rate of six percent (6%) per annum.
9. Such assessment shall be payable in one equal annual install-
ment payable on the 1st day of January in each year, beginning in
the year 1960, and continuing until all of said installments shall
have been paid, each installment to be collected with taxes collec-
tible during said year by the County Auditor.
10. The City Clerk is hereby directed to make up and file in the
office of the County Auditor of Anoka County a certified statement
of the amount of all of such unpaid assessments and the amount which
will be due thereon on the 1st day of January in each ,year.

A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PRELIMIiNARY REPORT AND CALLING
A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE MATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN
IMPROVEMENTS: (SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL PETITION)
WHEREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed
to be in the interest of the City of Fridley and the property own-
ers affected thereby.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley,
as follows:
1. That the preliminary report submitted by Comstock and
Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, is hereby received
and accepted.
2. That this Council will meet on the 16th day of August
1960, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the City Hall in the City
of Fridley for the purpose of holding a Public Hearing
on the improvements noted in the Notice attached hereto
and made a part thereof by reference, Exhibit "A ".
