the Srsnitary District, and that he thinks that a cotnmittea to study
allocation of co�ts, and other features of said I�istrict shoulci be
created at th1� time�. City Attorney Kohlan stated that ezt least.

Fridley is of this nature. It was deterrnined that P:iounds View, Goon
Rapids, Blalne, and Fridley ha�re already passed the resolution appro-
ving the act. and that Brooklyn Park and Spring Lake Park waulci pass
theirs at their next council'meeting. �lctin�,'uiAyor Wolke suid th�t

suggested that ,the hearin� be held at the Sorin� Lr'�ke Yark High School
auditorium. Clerk Joyiler of Brooklyn Park sug�ested that the hearinb
be held on August�24, 1961. Attorne� Merlin of Brooklyn Park sug-
gested that the hearin6 l�e held on August 31, 1961, since there might
be complicr�tions that make it difficult t,o huve all the ;�reparation
completed for a hearing on August 24, 19G1. H�3 also sugi;ested th:�t
each Council pass the same resolution, and approve the s,�ine he��ring
notice, so that there would be unif orrnity. Acting :'�Zayor 1Vo1ke
sug�ested that the attorneys for aach municipality prepnre this re-
solution, and the notice of hearir�F;, aiid th�it City Attorney 1Cohlun
be responslUle to see that these resolutions and hearin� i�otices were
submit�ed to the Gouncils in time for passage ard publication, so

that there will be several important decisions to be made hefore the
various comrnunities are irrevocably committed to the District. ai�d
that he felt that there should be discussio� prior to the hearing, to
try and determine whether there are any points of disagreament.
Clerk Joyner sut3c�ested that each Council appoint tts representative
to the interim bosrd unofficiAlly at this time, so that they could
Ue�in maetin� to have swnewhat of a"dress rehearsal" for conducting
the hearing. ,

District would Ue held at 8:00 P.i�� on Thursday, Au�ust 24, 1961,
at tkie Spring Lake Part, riign School auditorium.

to represent Fridley on the temporary uoarl that will conduct the
hearin� on August 24, 1'�bl. The rnotion w�,s seconded by Councilman
Nee. Upon a voice vote, there being no nays, Actin� TJ'iayor Wolke

Since in most cases, there were quorums oresent of the other five
Councils, each Council made an unn$PTcial appointment to the interim

saiu re,r.reeentatives then appointed iiayor Bernstein of Blaine as
Actin�; Chairm�n. It was determined that the first �neetin� oS this
interim boar3 would be at the Coon RaniQs City Hall on �Nednesday,
July 12, 1961, at 8:00 P.P,i. It was also decided thAt a final meet-
ing to nrepare for the hearing v�auld be held at the Coon Rapi'ds City
Hall at 8:00 P.2S, on Y�iednesday, August 1G, 1961.
