Fridley, Yinnesota, as follows:
1. That the following improvements heretofore proposed by council
resolution (see Resolution No. 69 -1960, dated June 7, 1960)
and ordered to be effected and conrleted as soon as reasonably
possible pursuant to Resolution No. 76 -1960, dated June 21,

' 1960 and now partially performed ee Resolution No. 78 -1960 dated
June 21, 1960 and Resolution No. 12 -1961, dated March 7, 1961
and others) are now hereby further ordered to be effected and
completed as soon as reasonably possible, to -wit:
(a) Those improvements noted in the notice of hearing on the
same (in Exhibit "A" attached hereto for reference and in-
correrated herein) comprising the work of the following,
namely: One (1) iron reroval rlant, which work and portion
of said improvement is hereby designated as Water Irprove-
ment Project No. 34 -J (Iron hemoval Plant) 1960.
2. The plans and specifications prepared by Crmstock and Davis,
Inc., Consulting Engineers, for such improvement and each of
then, pursuant to the council resolutions, eretofore adopted,
a copy of which plans and specifications are hereto attached
and made a Part hereof, are hereby arpreved and shall be filed
with the City Clerk.
3. The work to be performed under Water Improvement Project No.
30 -J (Iron Lemcval PlanO 1960 and the respective schedules of
work thereof, shall be performed under one or more contracts
as the Council shall determine upon receipt of bids.
The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause to be
' inserted in the official newspaper and such other newspaper
or trade paper as required by law, advertisements for bids,
etc., upon the making of such improvements under such approved
plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be pub -
lished for 3 weeks (at least 21 Days), and shall specify the
work to be done and will state that bids will be opened and con -
sidered at 12:00 o'clock, Noon, on the lyth day of March, 1962,
in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, and that no bids will
be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk, and
accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check pay -
able to the City for five percent (5 %) of the amount of such
bid. That the advertisement for bids for 'mater Improvement
Project No. 34 -J shall be substantially in foum as that noted
in Exhibit "B" attached hereto for reference and made a -art
hereof.

NOTICE OF H ARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, AnokA County,
Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improve -
ments hereinafter described be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 21st day of
June, 19602 at 7:30 o'clock P.M., the City Council of the City of
Fridley, will. m - -et at the City Hall in said City, and will at said
time, and place hear all parties interested in said improvements
in whole or in part.
The general nature of the improvements is the construction (in
the lands and streets noted below) of the following improvements to -wit:
CONSTRUCTION ITEM:
A. A complete municipal water s-stem throughout the City of Fridley
supplementing and integrating therein the municipal system now
in existence in part of the City of Fridley, and including, but
not limited to the following:
1. Not less than Four (4) Additional Wells; one elevated
storage tank; at least two (2) Iron Removal Plants; to-
gether with Pumps and Pumphouses and Tanks; and approx-
imately 20 miles of inter - connecting supply mains, or
major distribution feeder mains; and all appurtenances
incidental thereto, as are necessary or desirable to
provide to the entire City of Fridley, an overall system
of municipal water.

ments as separate improvements, except as hereinafter otherwise pro-

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed bids will be received, publicly opened, and considered
by the City Council of the City of Fridley. Anoka County, Minnesota,
at the office of the City Manager in said City on the 19th day of
March, 1962, at 12:00 o'clock noon for the furnishing of work and
materials for the installation of ?dater Improvement Project Number 34—J.
The project consists of the following construction items:
SCHEDULE 1: Schedule 1 consists of two structures of the
following approximate dimensions: 20 X 35 Ft. Masonry
Pump House, 107 X 73 Ft. Masonry Water Filtration Plant.
SCHEDULE 2: Mechanical Equipment for Water Filtration Plant.
SCHEDULE 3: Combination of Schedule 1 and Schedule 2.
All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared for
the City of Fridlsy, Minnesota, by Comstock & Davis, Inc., Consulting
Engineers, 1446 County Road "J" Minneapolis 21, Minnesota, Telephone:
SUnset 4 -9346.
Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the
City Manager, and copies may be obtained for the Contractor's indi-
vidual use by applying to the Engineers and depositing with the
Engineers $50.00 for each set. The deposit will be refunded to
each bidder submitting a bonafide bid upon return of the documents
in good condition within ten (10) days from the date of opening
bids.
Bids must be made on the basis of-cash-payment for the work,
and accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check ( on a responsible
bank in the State of Minnesota), or a bidder's bond and made payable
without condition to the City of Fridley, Minnesota, in an amount
of not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all
bids and to waive any informalities in any bid received without
explanation.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty days.
