A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING PLANS
AND SPECIFICATIONS, AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS, AND CHANGE
ORDER.
WHEREAS, the resolution of the City Council adopted on the 6th
day of August, 1962, set the date for hearing on the proposed improve-
ment, as specifically noted in the notice of hearing attached hereto
for reference as -.XHIBIT "A ", AND
WHEREAS, all the property owners whose property is liable to be
assessed with the raking of this improvement (as noted in said notice)
were given ten (10) days notice of the Council hearing by mail and
through two (2) weekly publications of the required notice, and the
hearing was held and the property owners heard thereon at the hearing,
as noted in said notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of
Fridley, Minnesota, as follows:
That the following improvement heretofore proposed by Council
resolution is hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as
reasonably possible, to -wit:
(a) All of the improvements as noted in the notice of hearing
on the same as are noted MHIBIT "A" in said notice) except
(none): that the work involved in said improvements as
listed above shall. hereafter be designated as:
STR =,ET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1962 -2A (change order No. 1)
and STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1962 -2B (change order No. 1)
The plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer, Calvin
' G. Brown, P.E., for such improvements and each of them, pursuant to
the Council resolutions heretofore adopted, a copy of which plans and
specifications are hereto attached and made a part hereof, are hereby
approved and shall be filed with the City Clerk.
The work to be performed under STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO.
1962 -2A (Change Order No. 1) and the work to be performed under
STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1962 -2B (Change Order No. 1) shall
be performed under one or more contracts or change orders.
The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause to be
inserted in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the
making of such improvements under such approved plans and specifi-
cations or submitted change orders for approval. The advertisement
shall be published for two (2) weeks (at least 15 days), and shall
specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened
at 12: "0 o'clock Noon on the 17th day of September, 1862, in the
Council Chambers of the City ?l11, and that no bids will be considered
unless sealed and filed with the CityClerk, and accompanied by a
cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for
five percent (5`5) of the amount of such bid. That the advertisement
need not be made if suitable ch.an7e orders can be made whereby the
work involved as noted hereinabove is incorporated in and made a
part of other contracts concerned with the same or similar work in
the area. That the work noted above so far as it concerns drainage
and storm sewer work may be designated as STOPS; SE47ER PROJECT SS f #53
(Change Order No. 2) and such storm sewer work likewise need not be
advertised for but may be incorporated in other like or similar work.
That the performance of all of such work by and through one or more
change orders is hereby fully authorized.

THAT THE PROPOSED AREA TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENT IS AS
FOLLOWS:
FOR CONSTRUCTION ITEM A, ABOVE:
All of the land abutting upon said streets named above
and all lands within, adjacent and abutting thereto.
All of said land to be assessed proportionately according
to the benefits received by such improvements.
That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improve-
ments as separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise pro-
vided by the Council all under the following authority, to -wit:
Minnesota I:aws 1953, Chapter 398 and laws amendatory thereof, and in
conformity with the City Charter.

NOTICE OF HrARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County,
Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improve-
ments hereinafter described be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 30th day
of July, 1962, at 8:00 P.M., the City Council will maet at the
' City Hall in said City, and will at said time and place hear all
parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part.
The general nature of the improvements is the construction, (in
the lands and streets noted below) of the following improvements,
to -Wit:

The motion for the adoption of the above resolution by Councilman
Sheridan was duly seconded by Councilman Wolke, and upon a voice vote
being taken thereon, the following members voted in favor thereof:
Greig, Sheridan, Wolke, Nee, Johanson.
and the following members voted against the same: None
WHEREUPON SAID RESOLUTION WAS DECLARED DULY PASSED AND ADOPTED.
RESOLUTION NO. 112 -1962
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PRELIV..INARY REPORT AND CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE MATTER OF TIME CONS-RUCTION OF CERTAIN IN.PROVEMENTS - ( STORM SlEXER
ON 75TH AVENUE NORTHEAST )
WHEREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed to be in
the best interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners affected
thereby.
BE IT RESOLVED, By the City Council of the City of Fridley, as follows:
1., That the preliminary report submitted by Comstock and Davis, Inc.,
Consulting Engineers, is hereby received and accepted.
2. That this Council will meet on the 25th day of September, 1962, at
8:00 o'clock P.M., at the City Hall in the City of Fridley for the
purpose of holding a Public Hearing on the improvement noted in the
Notice attached hereto and made a part thereof by reference, Exhi-
bit "A°.
3. That the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements and each
of them as noted in said notice are all the lands and areas as noted
' in said notice: All of the same to be assessed proportionately
according to the benefit received.
4. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to give notice of
such Public Eearing by Publishing a notice to be substantially in
the form and substance of the notice attached hereto as Exhibit "A ".
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 4TH DAY OF
SEPTEMBER, 1962.
