RESOLUTION NO. 130 -1962
A RESOLUTION ORDERING PRELIMINARY PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND ESTIMATES
OF THE COSTS OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS ( WATER AND SEWER - 63RD AVE. N.E.)
BE IT RESOLVED By the Council of the City of Fridley as follows:
1. That it appears in the interests of the City and the property
owners a!fected that there be constructed certain improvements,
to -wit:
a.) Water mains and Sewer mains and Service Lines in and along
63rd Avenue Northeast and east of University. Avenue Northeast.
2. That Comstock and lavis, Consulting Engineers are hereby authorized
and directed to draw preliminary plans and specifications, and to
tabulate the results of their estimates of the costs of said improve-
ments and to make a preliminary report of their findings to the
City Council when the same are prepared, not later than the earliest
date convenient.

A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PRELIMINARY REPORT AND CALLING A PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE MATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS -
( Sewer and Water in 63rd Avenue Northeast )
WHEREAS, THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN Improvements is deemed to
be in the interest of the City of Fridley and the prcperty owners
affected thereby.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, as
follows:
1. That the preliminary report submitted by Comstock and Davis, Inc.,
Consulting Engineers, is hereby received and accepted. '
2. That this Council will meet on the 25th day of September, 1962,
at 5:00 o'clock P.M., at the City Hall in-the City of Fridley
for the purpose of holding a Public Fearing on the improvement
noted in the Notice attached hereto and made a part thereof by
reference, Exhibit "A ".
3. That the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements and
each of them as noted in said notice areall the lands and areas
as noted in said notice: All of the same to be assessed pro -
portionately according to the benefits received.
4. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to give notice
of such Public Hearing by publishing a notice thereof in the
official newspaper of the City of Fridley according to law, such

notice to be substantially in the form and substance of the notice
attached hereto as Exhibit "A ".

NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County
Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improve-
ments hereinafter described be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 25th day of
September, 1962, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet
at the City Hall in said City, and will at said time, and place hear
all parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part.
The general nature of the improvements is the construction ( in
the lands and streets noted below) of the following improvements, to -wit:
CONSTRUCTION ITEM
A. Sanitary Sewer and Appurtenances located in all of the streets
and serving all of the area described below:
63rd Avenue, From 5th Street to University Avenue N.E.
B. Watermain Extensions located in all the streets and serving the
area described as follows:
University Avenue, from 64th Avenue to 63rd Avenue
63rd Avenue, from University Avenue to 5th Street

IS AS FOLLOWS:
For construction item A, Above:
All the lands abutting upon said streets named above and all lands
adjacent and abutting thereto.
For construction item B, Above:
All the land abutting upon said streets named above and all lands
abutting and adjacent thereto.
All of said land to be assessed proportionately according to the
benefits received by such improvements.
That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improve-
ments as separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise provided
by the Council all under the following authority, to -wit: Minnesota
Laws 1953, Chapter 398 and laws amendatory thereof, and in conformity
with the City Charter.
