A RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT ON STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 1962 -4
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY, MINNESOTA,
as follows:
1. The Council finds that the lowest responsible bidder for con-
struction of the improvement work designated as:
Street Improvement Project No. 1962 -4 (Street Construction
Reconstruction and Parking Lots) is the Dunkley Surfacing
Company, 3756 Grand Street Northeast, Minneapolis, Minn-
esota; whose bid is in the amount of s 5,41,5 ^0.00 (Lump
Sum Did) with comnlet`_on time December, 1, 1962 ('Feather
permitting) or June 15, 1963. That said bid is hereby acc-
epted, and the City Manager and Mayor in office on date of
execution of the contract are hereby authorized and directed
to enter into a contract with said bider for and in behalf
of the City of Fridley.

RESOLUTION NO. 185 -1962
A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 176 -1962 - ENTITLED:
"A RESOLUTION ORDERING PRELIMINARY PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND
ESTIMATES OF COSTS Tr -REOF: ST. 1962 -4 MSA Street ''o. 307 -010
AND 307 -020, 73RD AVENUE N.E., SERVICE ROAD FOR T.H. #47 TO
ABLE STREET."
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley as follows:
1. That it appears in the interest of the City of Fridley
and of the property owners affected that there be con-
structed certain improvements, to -wit:
a. Street improvements, including grading stabilized
base, bituminous surfacing a nd curb, and appur-
tenant facilities, located as follows:
(1) 73rd Avenue N.E. from T.H. #47 (University
Avenue) to Able Street N.
b. That petitions relative to said improvements have
been received and filed with the City as follows:
(1) None. City Council minutes of May 7, May 21,
June 4, June 18, 1962 relate to Right -of -way
approval. Resolution No. 105 -1960 establish
this street as Tart of Municipal State Aid
System.
2. That City Engineer, Calvin G. Brown, P.E., is hereby
authorized and directed to draw preliminary plans and
specifications and to tabulate the results of his esti-
mates of the costs of said improvements, includinc_r every
item of cost from inception to completion and all fees
and expenses incurred (or to be incurred) in connection
therewith, or the financing thereof, and to make a pre-
liminary report of his findings, stating therein whether

said improvements are feasible and whether they can best
be made as proposed, or in connection with some other
improvements (and the estimated cost as recommended),
including also a description of the lands or area as
may receive 'renefits therefrom and as may be proposed
to be assessed.
3. That the City Clerk shall act to ascertain the name and
address of the owner of each parcel of land directly
a''£ected or within the area of lands as may be proposed
to be assessed for said improvements (and each of them);
and, upon receipt from said Engineer of the said pre-
liminary report, calculate estimates of assessments as
may be proposed relative thereto against each of said
lands.
4. That said preliminary report of the Engineer and estimates
of assessments of the Clerk, shall be furnished to the
Council and made available for inspection to the owner of
any parcel of land as may be affected thereby at any
Public Hearing held relative thereto, as well as at any
prior time reasonable and convenient.
5. That the policy of the City Council in respect to this
State Aid Street improvement within the right -of -way
limits, not rei;bursible from State Aid lands credited
to the City, shall be assessed equally against the
abutting property owners on a per °oot basis.
6. That Resolution No. 176 -1962 - entitled "A RESOLUTION
ORDERING P- EIIMINA.RY PLANS, SPECIFICATTONS AND ESTIMATES
OF COSTS THEREOF11 is amended to conform with the pro -
vis'ons of t?lis Resul tion, and all acts and things
heretofore done under and by reason o? said resolution
No. 176 -1962 are ordered, authorized, ratified and con -
firmed. '"'hat the work performed and as contracted for
with respect to said Street improvements further, shall
conform to the provisions hereof.

RESOLUTION NO. 186 -1962
RESOLUTION DELETING CERTAIN ASS'ESSIM, TS FROM THE ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR
PROJECT S & SS #24 -A (Storm Sewer Portion)
WHEREAS, Parcel 9150, Section 11, City of Fridley, was by inadvertence
and error included in the assessment roll prepared for Project S8-SS #24 -A
(Store: Sewer Schedule).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Parcel Number 9150, Section 11, City
of Fridley, be deleted from the aEsessment roll for S&SS #24A (Storm
Sewer Schedule).
