RESOLUTION NO. 23 -1962
RESOLUTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR
ONE 1000 GPM FIRE TRUCK
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley, as follows:
1. That it is in the interest of the City to purchase the
following items or materials for the Fire Department.
One 1000 GFM Motorized Fire Pumper and Appurtenances.
2. A copy of the plans and specifications for the above
described items and materials, together with a proposal
for the method of purchase and the payment thereof have
been presented to the Council by the City Manager and
the same are hereby approved and adopted as the plans
and specifications, and the method of acquisition and
payment to be required by the City with respect to the
acquisition of said items and materials.
3.
The purchase of said items and materials as described above
shall be effected by sealed bids to be received and opened
by the City Council at 12:00 11clock noon, on the i8th
day of May, 1962. The City Manager is directed and auth-
orized to advertise for the purchase of said items and
materials by sealed bid proposals under notice as provided
by law and the Charter of the City of Fridley, the notice
to be substantially in form as that shown by Exhibit "All
attached hereto and made a part by reference. Said notice
shall be published at least 15 day= or through two (2)
publications in the official newspaper of the City of
Fridley.

FRIDLEY, THIS 16th DAY OF APRIL , 1962.

EXHIBIT "A"
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
MOTOR FIRE APPARATUS
The City Council of the City of Fridley will accept bids
on one Motor Fire Apparatus on the 18th day of May, 19622
until 12:00 o'clock Noon, on said date. All bids must meet
the minimum requirements of the specifications. Failure to
comply with this section can result in disqualification of
the bid.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or
bid bond in the amount of not less than 5% of the bid, which
check or bid bond shall be forfeited if the bidder neglects
or refuses to enter into a contract, or to furnish a 100%
performance bond after his bid has been accepted.
The City reserves the right to accept the bid which is
determined to 'oe in the best interests of the City. The City
reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and waive all
informalities or irregularities in any bid.
The Council also reserves the right to consider such
factors as time of delivery or performance, experience and
responsibility of the bidder, past performance of similar
types of item or material, availability of replacement parts,
and other similar factors that it may deem to be in the best
interests of the City.
Copies of the specifications and general conditions may
be examined in the office of the City Manager, or copies may
be obtained from his office.
All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and
plainly marked on the outside that the contents is a bid on
a FIRE MOTOR APPARATUS.
