RESOLUTION NO. 41 -1962
RESOLUTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley, as follows:
1. That it is in the interest of the City to purchase
emergency pumping equipment for sewer and water
repairs and maintenance, as follows:
ONE SIX INCH (6 ") CENTRIFUGAL PUMP, 90,000 min.
G.P.H., 25 foot min. TDH., of 40 H.P. min. capacity,
Trailer type, with hose and accessories.
2. The specifications for the above described equip-
ment and accessories, together with a proposal for
the method of purchase and the payment thereof
have been presented to the Council by the City
Manager and the same are hereby approved and
adopted as the specifications and the requirements
by the City with respect to the acquisition of
said equipment and accessories.
3. The purchase of said equipment and accessories as
described above shall be effected by sealed bids
to be received and opened by the City of Fridley
on the 4th day of June, 1962. The City Manager
is directed and authorized to advertise for the
purchase of said equipment and accessories by sealed
bid proposals under notice as provided by law and
the Charter of the City of Fridley, the notice to
be substantially in form as that shown by Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and made a part of by reference.
Said notice shall be published at least twice in
the official newspaper of the City of Fridley.

EXHIBIT "A"
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The City Council of the City of Fridley will accept bids on
one six inch (611) Centrifugal PumD, Trailer Mtd., on the 4th day of
June, 1962, until 12:00 o'clock noon on said date at the City Hallt
6431 University Avenue N.E., Fridley 21, Minnesota, (Tel: 560 - 3450),
All bids must meet the minimum requirements of the specifications.
Failure to comply with this section can result in disqualification
of the bid.
Each bid or bids shall be accompanied by a certified check
or bid bond in an amount of not less than 50 of the bid or bids,
which check or bond shall be forfeited if the bidder neglects or
refuses to enter into a contract, or to furnish a 100% performance
bond after his bid has been accepted.
The City reserves the right to accept the bid or bids which
are determined to be in the best interest of the City. The City re-
serves the right to reject any and all bids, and waive all informal-
ities or technicalities in any bid.
The City Council also reserves the right to consider such
factors as time or delivery or perfcrmance, experience and respon-
sibility of the bidder, past performance of similar types of items
or material, availability of replacement parts, and other similar
factors that it may determine in the best interest of the City.
Copies of the specifications and general conditions may be
examined in the Office of the City Engineer, or copies may be obtained
from his office.
All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and plainly
marked on the outside that the contents is a bid on Six Inch (611)
Centrifugal Pump, Trailer Mtd.
