RESOLUTION N0. 42 -1962
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PRELIMINARY REPORT AND CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE MATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS: Storm Sewer &
Water & Sewer Project #58
WHEREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed to
be in the interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners affected
thereby.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, as
follows:
1. That the preliminary report submitted by Comstock & Davis,
Inc., Consulting Engineers, is hereby received and accepted.
2. That this Council will meet on the 4th day of June, 1962,
at 8:00 o'clock P.M. at the City Hall in the City of Fridley
for the purpose of holding a Public Hearing on the improvement
noted in the Notice attached hereto and made a part thereof by
reference, Exhibit "A".
3. That the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements
and each of them as noted in said notice are all the lands and
areas as noted in said notice: All of the same to be assessed
proportionately according to the benefits received.
4. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to give
notice of such Public Hearing by publishing a notice thereof
in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley according to
law, such notice to be substantially in the form and substance
of the notice attached hereto as Exhibit "A ".

A RESOLUTION ORDERING PRELIMINARY PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND ESTIMATES OF THE
COST THEREOF: (SANITARY SEWER LIFT STATION, FORCE MAIN AND APPURTENANCES -
PROJECT NO. 59)
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley, as follows:
1. That it appears in the interest of the City and of the
property owners affected that there be constructed certain
improvements, to -wit:
a. SANITARY SEWER LIFT STATION, FORCE MAIN AND APPURTENANCES
in the following area:
1. Parcel #7, Subdivision of Lot 10, Auditor's Subdivision
No. 94, Lots 10 and 11, and Outlot "A ", Block 1, Beverly
Hills Addition, Block 1, Swanstrom's Court Addition.

That the firm of Comstock and Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers
for the City of Fridley are hereby authorized and directed to draw prelim-
inary plans and specifications and to tabulate the results of his or their
findings to the Council not later than at their earliest convenience,
That such report may be made separately, or together with and as part of
a report on other improvements of the same nature or in the same area.

RESOLUTION NO. 44 -1962
A RESOLUTION RENAMING ALBANY STREET, 79TH AVENUE N.E., AND 79TH WAY N.E.
WHEREAS, certain street blocks from Riverview Terrace to Main
Street N.E., lying in the South one -half (S,) of Section 3, Town-
ship 30, Range 24, of the City of Fridley, County of Anoka, Minnesota,
are designated on the plats of record, variously, as 79th Avenue, 79th
Way and Albany Street, and
' WHEREAS, these blocks constitute continuous street dedication
and the different street names are causing needless confusion,
AND WHEREAS, the United States Post Office Department and pro-
perty owners have requested that these street blocks be assigned a
single name throughout its length,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that
SECTION 1. Those street blocks known variously as 79th Avenue
N.E., 79th Way N.E: and Albany Street, lying between
Riverview Terrace and Main Street N.E. in the South
one -half (S,) of Section 3, Township 30, Range 24,
City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, will here-
after be named and known as 79th Avenue N.E.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to register said
change of street name with the proper authorities
for Anoka County, and notify the U. S. Post Office
of such change.
