the necessary labor, material and equipment and the pay-

City Manager and the same are hereby approved and adopted
as the specifications and the requirements by the City

above shall be effected by sealed bids to be received
and opened by the City of Fridley on the 2nd day of

BE IT RESOLVED BY the Council of the City of Fridley, as
1. That it is in the interest of the City to purchase
emergency replacement equipment for the Sylvan Hills
Lift Station, as follows:
Two (2) 15 H.P. 3 Phase Electrical Motors
2. The specifications for the above described motors,
together with a proposal for the method of purchase
and the payment thereof, have been presented to the
Council by the City Manager and the same are hereby
approved and adopted as the specifications and the
requirements by the City with respect to the acquisition
of said motors.
3. The purchase of said motors as described above shall be

and repair work, together with a proposal for the

the requirements by the City with respect to the
acquisition of said painting and repair work.

EXHIBIT "A"
CITY OF FRIDLEY
BID NOTICE
ELECTRICAL MOTORS (15 H.P.)
The City Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota, will accept
bids on furnishing Electrical Motors on the 2nd day of July, 1962,
until 12:00 o'clock Noon on said date at the Cit Hall, 6431 University
Avenue NE, Fridley 21, Minnesota, (Tel: 560 - 3450. All bids must
meet the minimum requirements of the specifications. Failure to
comply with this section can result in disqualification of the bid.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's
Check or Cash in an amount of not less than 5% of the bid, which
check or cash shall be forfeited if bidder neglects or refuses to
enter into a Contract, after his bid has been accepted.
The City reserves the right to accept the bid which is deter-
mined to be in the best interests of the City and to reject any
and all bids and waive an.v informalities or technicalities in any
bid.
The City Council also reserves the right to consider such
factors as performance, experience, responsibility of the birder,
past performance of similar types of equipment or materials, and
other similar factors that it may determine to be in the best
interest of the City.
Copies of the specifications may be examined in the office
of the City engineer.
All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and plainly
marked on the outside with "Electrical Motors Bid ".
