objections to said assessment:

After due consideration of all said objections, Councilman Johanson,
introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION No. 101 -1962
RESOLUTION CONFIRMING ASSESSMENT WATER AND SEWER MAINS, LATERALS
AND SERVICE CONNECTIONS
BE IT RESOLVED By the City Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota
as follows:
1.
The City Clerk has with the assistance of the engineers heretofore

selected by this Council for such purpose, calculated the proper
amounts to be specially assessed for the
Water & Sewer Mains, Laterals, and Service Connections
in said City against every assessible lot, piece or parcel of land
in accordance with the provisions of law, and has prepared and
filed with the City Clerk tabulated statements in duplicate showing
the proper description of each and every lot, piece or parcel of
land to be specially assessed and the amount calculated against
the same.
2.
Notice has been duly published as required by law that this
Council would meet in special session at this time and place to
pass on the proposed assessment.

Said proposed assessment has at all times since its filing been
open to inspection and copying by all persons interested, and an
opportunity has been given to all interested persons to present
their objections, if any, to such proposed assessment, or to any
item, thereof, and no objections have been filed; except

The amounts specified in the proposed assessment are changed
and altered as fol)ows:
5. This Council finds that each of the lots, pieces or parcels of
land ennumerated in said proposed assessment as altered and mod-
ified was and is specially benefited by the
WATER & SEWER. MAINS, LATERALS, AND SERVICE CONNECTIONS
' in the amount in said proposed assessment as altered and modified
by the corrective roll in the amount set opposite the description
of each such lot, piece or parcel of land, and that said amount
so set out is hereby levied against each of the respective lots,
pieces or parcels of land therein described.
6. Such proposed assessment as altered, modified, and corrected is
affirmed, adopted and confirmed, and the sums fixed and named in
said proposed assessment as altered, modified and corrected, with
the changes and alterations herein above made, are affirmed, adopted
and confirmed as the proper special assessment for each of said
lots, pieces or parcels of land respectively.
7. Said assessment so affirmed, adopted and confirmed shall be
certified to by the City Clerk and filed in his office and shall
thereupon be and constitute the special assessment for

8. The amounts assessed against each lots piece or parcel of land
shall bear interest from the date hereof until the same have been
paid at the rate of six percent (6 %) per annum,
9. Such assessment shall be payable in fifteen annual installments
payable on the first day of January, in each year, beginning in
the year 1963s and continuing until all of said installments
shall have been paid, each installment to be collected with taxes
collectible during said year by the County Auditor.
10. The City Clerk is hereby directed to make up and file in the office
of the County Auditor of Anoka County a certified statement of the
amount of all such unpaid assessments and the amount which will
be due thereon on the 1st day of January in each year.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Councilman Nee, and upon vote being taken thereon the
following voted in favor thereof: Unanimous (Sheridan absent)
and the following voted against the same: None
WHEREUPON SAID RESOLUTION WAS DECLARED DULY PASSED AND ADOPTED

RESOLUTION NO. 102 -1962
RESOLUTION RECEIVING PRELIMINARY REPORT OF JOINT STORM DRAINAGE STUDY
WHEREAS, the City Councils of Fridley and Columbia Heights, and the
Minnesota Highway Department previously agreed to participate jointly in
a study of the joint storm drainage problem along the Minnesota Highway
Department right -of -way for T.H. #47 south of T.H. #100., and
WHEREAS, the Consulting Firms of the Cities of Columbia Heights and
Fridley, namely Ralph D. Thomas and Associates, Inc. and Comstock and Davis,
Inc. were engaged to carry on this study, and
WHEREAS, a preliminary, report, the result of this joint study's has
been submitted to the Cities of Columbia Heights and Fridley and the
Minnesota Highway Department as of November 1961,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridleyz
1. That the preliminary report hereinabove described is hereby received
and accepted by the City of Fridley.
2. That the Finance Director of the City of Fridley is hereby authorized
and directed to forward a City check in the amount of $29000.00 to
the City of Columbia Heights as the share of the City of Fridley in
this joint report; the City of Columbia Heights to re- imburse the
Consulting Engineering firms from the joint and several payments of
the three participating governmental entities.

RESOLUTION NO. 103 -1962
RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING THE COST OF STORM SEWER PROJECT NO. 49 TO
STORM AND SANITARY SEWER PROJECT N0, 24.
WHEREAS, there has been installed certain 24 inch Storm Sewer lines along
73rd Avenue as a part of Storm Sewer Project No. 49, and,
WHEREAS, it is desirable to spread the cost of the above mentioned line
over the same draining district as is served by S & SS Project No. 244 and,
WHEREAS, it is desirable to prepare only one assessment roll for the above
noted improvements.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that expenditures in the amount of $15,433.03
be transferred to and be made a part of S & SS Project No. 24A from
S. S. Project No. 49.
