A USOL1TfiCM ORDERING 114PROVEMENT, APPROVAL OF FLANS,
- AID&SU ING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
WHEREAS, the Resolution of the City Council adopted on the 16th
day of March, 1964, set the date for hearing on the proposed improvements,
as specifically noted in the notice of hearing attached hereto for reference
as EXHIBIT "A ", and
WHEREAS, all property owners whose property is liable to be
assessed with the making of the improvements (as noted in said notice) were
given ten (10) days of published noticeof the Council hearing through two
(2) weekly publications of the required notice, and the bearing was hold
and the property owners heard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said
notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of
Fridley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the following improvements heretofore proposed by Council
resolution are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as
soon as reasonable possible, to -wit:
a) All of the improvements as noted in the notice of hearing
on the same as -are noted (in Exhibit "A" in said notice)
except (noon); that the work involved in said improvements
as listed above shall hereafter be designated as:

MINNESOTA STATE AID PROJECT 27- 315 -01
2. The plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer
for such improvements and each of them, pursuant to the Council
resolutions heretofore adopted, a copy of which plans and
specifications are hereto attached and made a part hereof,
are hereby approved'and'shalU bs filed with the City Clark.
3.. The :work to be performed under MINNESOTA STATE AID PROJECTS
27- 302 -01 and 27- 315 -01 shall be performed under one contract.
The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause to be
inserted in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making
of such improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The
advertisement shall be published for two (2) weeks (at least 14 days), and
shall specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened
and considered at 12:00 o'clock (noon), on the 15th day of June, 1964, in
the Council Chambers of the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered
unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk, and accompanied by a cash deposit,
bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five per cent 5`k of the
amount of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for MINNESOTA STATE AID
PROJECTS 27- 302 -01 and 27- 315 -01 shall be•:substantially in form as that noted
in Exhibit 'B" attached hereto for reference and made a part hereof.

NOTICE OF BEARING ON IMPROVENUM
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka
County, Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the
improvements hereinafter described be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 20th day
of April, 1964, at 8:00 o'clock P,M, the City Council will meet
at the City Hall in said City, and will at said time and place hear all
parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part.
The general nature of the improvements is the construction (in
the lands and streets noted below) of the following improvements, to -wit:
CONSTRUCTION ITEM
A. Street improvements, including grading, stabilised base, bituminous
surfacing, concrete curb and gutter and appurtenant facilities,
located as follows:
(1) 61st Avenue from 7th Street to West Moore Lake Drive,
MSAS 27 -302 -040
(2) West Moore Lake Drive from 61st Avenue to Carol Drive,
MSAS 27- 302 -050 (Partial)
(3) West Moore Lake Drive from North and of Denney's Lakeview
Manor Plat to 61st Avenue
MW 27- 315 -010 (Partial)
ESTIMATED COST . . . . . . . . . . . $100.820.60
THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENTS IS AS FOLLOWS:

All of the land abutting upon said streets named above and all lands
within, adjacent and abutting thereto.
All of said land to be assessed proportionately according to the benefits
received by such improvements.
That the Council proposed to proceed with each of said improvements as
separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise provided by the
Council all under the following authority, to-wit: Minnesota Statutes 1961,
Chapter 429 and laws amendatory thereof, and in conformity with the City
Charter.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed bids will be received and publicly opened by the City of Fridley,
Anoka County, Minnesota, at the office of the City Manager, on the 15th
day of June, 1964, at 12:00 Noon, and will be considered by the City Council
of the City of Fridley, at a regular Council Meeting, at 8:00 P.M. on the
15th day of June, 1964, for the furnishing of work and materials for Minnesota
State Aid Project 27- 302 -01 and Minnesota State Aid Project 27- 315 -01.
The projects consist of the following principal items of work and approximate
quantities:
16,970 Sq. Yds. 4" Bituminous Stabilised Base
1,401 Tons IV' Bituminous Surfacing
7,450 Lin. Ft. Concrete Curb and Gutter
All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by Nasim Qureshi,
P.E., City Engineer, Fridley City Hall, 6431 University Avenue Northeast,
Fridley, Minnesota 55421.

Plans and specifications may be examined at the Office of the City Manager,
and copies may be obtained for the Contractor's individual use by applying
to the City Engineer and depositing with the City Engineer $15.00 for each
set. The deposit will be refunded to each bidder submitting a bonafide bid
upon return of the documents in good condition within ten (10) days from
the bid opening date.
Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for work, and accompanied
by a cash deposit, certified check (on a responsible bank in the State of
Minnesota), or a bidder's bond and made payable without condition to the
City of Fridley, Minnesota, in an amount of not less Char. 5% of the total
amount of the bid.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to
waive any informalities in any bids received without explanation.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days.
