RESOLUTION NO. 131 -1964
A RESOLUTION ORDERING I14FROVE1,214TS, APPROVAL OF PLANS,
AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS (PROJECT NO. 69).
WHEREAS, the resolution of the City Council adopted on the
4th day of May, 1964, set the date for hearing on the proposed
improvements, as specifically noted in the notice of hearing
attached hereto for reference as EXHIBIT "A ", and
WHEREAS, all the property owners whose property is liable
to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in
said notice) were given ten (10) days notice by mail and published
notice of the Council hearing through two (2) weekly publications
of the required notice, and the hearing was held and the property
owners heard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RES(,LVED, by the Council of the City of
Fridley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the following improvements heretofore proposed by Council
resolution are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as
soon as reasonably possible, to —wit:
(a) All of the improvements as noted in the notice of hearing
on the same as are noted (in Exhibit "A" in said notice)
except (none); that the work involved in said improvements
as listed above shall hereafter be designated as:
SANITARY SEER, WATER, AND STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT
FRSJECT NC,. 69 -1964.
2. The plans and specifications prepared by Suburban Engineering,
Incorporated, Consulting Engineers, for such improvements and
each of them, pursuant to the Council resolutions heretofore
adopted, a copy of which plans and specifications are hereto
attached and made a part hereof, are hereby approved and shall
be filed with the City Clerk.
3. The work to be performed under SANITARY SEWER, WATER, AND
STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 69 -1964, shall be per -
formed under one contract.
The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause to be
inserted in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon
the making of such improvements under such approved plans and
specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three
(3) weeks (at least 21 days), and shall specify the work to be
done and will state that bids will be opened and considered at
12:00 Noon, on the 7th day of July, 1964, in the Council Chambers
of the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless
sealed and filed with the City Clerk, and accompanied by a cash
deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for
Five percent (5 %) of the amount of such bid. That the advertise -
ment for bids for S:SxlTA.RY SEIJER, HJ TER AND STORM SEWER 11•YP t VE-
MENT PROJECT NO. 69 -1964 shall be substantially in form as that
noted in Exhibit "B" attached hereto for reference and made a
part hereof.

NOTICE uF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT #69
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County,
Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improvements
hereinafter described be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 2nd day of
June, 1964, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet at the
City Hall in said City, and will at said time, and place, hear all
parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part.
The general nature of the improvements is the construction (in
the lands and streets noted below) of the following improvements,
to -wit:
CONSTRUCTION ITEM
A. Water Lateral and Service Connections and Sanitary Sewer Lateral
and Service Connections located in all of the streets and serving
all of the area described as Meadowmoor Terrace and 1eadowmoor
Terrace 2nd.
Be Storm Sewer and Appurtenances in serving the area described as
Meadowmoor Terrace
ESTIMATED COST . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $899000.00
THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENT IS AS
FOLLOWS:
For Construction Item A and B above - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
All of the land lying inside the boundary of Meadowmoor Terrace
and Meadowmoor Terrace 2nd Addition.
All of said land to be assessed proportionately according to the
benefits received by such improvements.
That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improve-
ments as separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise provid-
ed by the Council all under the following authority, to —wit: Minne-
sota Laws 1953, Chapter 398 and laws amendatory thereof, and in con-
formity with the City Charter.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
(EXHIBIT B)
Sealed bids will be received and publicly opened by the City of
Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, at the office of the City 14anager,
' on the 7th day of July, 1964 at 12:00 Noon, and will be considered
by the City Council of the City of Fridley, at a regular Council
Meeting, at 5:00 P.M. on the 7th day of July for the furnishing of
work and materials for the installation of Sanitary Sewer, ':later,
and Storm Sewer Improvement Project No. 69.
The project consists -of the following approximate quantities:
5,835 Lin. Ft. 6" and 8" Sanitary Sewer Lines with Appurtenances
2,064 Lin. Ft. 12" through 21" Storm Sewer Lines with Appurtenances
4,928 Lin. Ft. 6" through 1" Water Lines with Appurtenances
All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared for the City
of Fridley, Minnesota by Suburban Engineering, Incorporated, Con-
sulting Engineers, 6575 Eigh.ray n65 Northeast, Fridley, ;Minnesota
55432, Telephone: Sunset 4 -6066.
Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the City
Manager, and copies may be obtained for the Contractor's individual
use by applying to the Engineers and depositing with the Engineers
$10.00 for each set. The deposit will be refunded to each bidder sub-
mitting a bonafide bid upon return of the documents in good condition
within ten (10) days from the date of opening bids and to non- bidders
upon return of the documents in good condition prior to the bid open-
ing.
Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for the work, and accom-
panied by a cash deposit, certified check (on a responsible bank in the
State of Minnesota), or a bidder's bond and made payable without condi-
tion to the City of Fridley, Minnesota, in an amount of not less than
5% of the total amount of the bid.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to
waive any informalities in any bids received without explanation.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days.
