RES 1964-150 - 00011775110 RESOLUTION NO. 150 -1964 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR FROJECT W -34S WHEREAS, the City of Fridley has heretofore commenced proceed- ings for an improvement known as Project W -34, and WHEREAS, a public hearing on said improvement was concluded by the City Council on June 21, 1960, wherein a general water works im- provement involving a total estimated cost of $2,234,200.00 was ap- proved and which involved a possible assessment to benefited property owners throughout the City of Fridley, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY, MINNESOTA: 1. That the final plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer, City of Fridley, for Project designated as W -344 are received and are hereby approved. 2. That the City Manager shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper an advertisement for bids of fence around the Fridley Filtration Plant �1, a portion of improvement under the Pro- ject, known as 'Project lI -34S, that the advertisement shall be publish- ed for three weeks (at least 21 days), and shall specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened and considered at 12:00 o'clock Noon on the 24th day of August, 1964 in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk, and accompanied by a cash de- posit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five per- cent (5%) of the amount of such bid. Brunssell MAYOR - William J Nee 215_ :;a 216 RESOLUTION NO. 150-1964 (Continued) NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed bids will be received and publicly opened by the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, at the office of the City Mana- ger, on the 24th day of ugust, 1964 at 12:00 Noon, and will be considered by the City Council of the City of Fridley, at a regu- lar Council Meeting, at 8:00 P.M. on the 24th day of :august, 196/., for the furnishing of work and materials for approximately 1100 feet of fencing around Fridley Filtration Plant #l, a portion of improvement under the project known as Project W -34S. All bids must meet the minimum requirements of the specifications. Failure to comply with this section can result in disqualification of the bid. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashiers Check, Cash, or Bid Bond and made payable without conditions to the City of Fridley, Kinnesota, in an amount of not less than 5% of the bid, which check, cash, or bond shall be forfeited if bidder neglects or refuses to enter into a Contract or to furnish a 100E performance bond, after his bid has been accepted. The City reserves the right to accept the bid which is determined to be in the best interests of the City. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any informalities or technicali- ties in any bid received without explanatior. The City Council also reserves the right to consider such factors as time of delivery or performance, experience, responsibility of the bidder, past performance of similar types of items or materials, availability of products, and other similar factors that it may deter- mine to be in the best interest of the City. Copies of the specifications and general conditions may be examined in the office of the City Engineer — Director of Public Works, or copies may be obtained from his office.
