RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
RATIFYING CALL FOR BIDS - PROJECT SS -5
WHEREAS, a resolution of the City Council adopted the 2nd day of
March, 1964, fixed a date for a hearing on the proposal to install
a storm sewer, thus improving and benefitting all the property contained
within the following area within the City of Fridley as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the westerly right-
of -way of the Northern Pacific Ry. & Great Northern Ry.
and Trunk Highway 694 (formerly Highway 100); thence
east along Trunk Highway 694 to its intersection with
Trunk Highway 65; thence north along Trunk Highway 65
to its intersection with the south entrance of West _
Moore Lake Drive; thence along West Moore Lake Drive
and Quincy Street to 61st Avenue N.E.; thence westerly
along 61st Avenue N.E. to its intersection with 6th
Street N.E.; thence North on 6th Street N.E. to 63rd
Avenue N.E.; thence west on 63rd Avenue N.E. to 5th
Street N.E. extended; thence north on 5th Street
extended and 5th Street tb its intersection with
Mississippi Street; thence west on Mississippi Street
to the west right -of -way line of the Northern Pacific
Ry. &,the Great Northern Ry.; thence southerly along
said right -of -way line of said railways to the point
of beginning.
AND WHEREAS, all property owners whose property is liable to be
assessed for the making of this improvement were given ten (10) days
published notice of the Council hearing through two (2) weekly publications
of the required notice, and in addition, notice was given in the following ,
manner:
By mailed notice to each of the property owners
according to the records checked at the Anoka
County Court House and the City of Fridley.
and the hearing was held and the property owners heard thereon on the
13th day of April, 1964.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRIDLEY, MINNESOTA:
1. The plans and specifications prepared by Comstock and Davis, Inc.
the engineer for such improvement pursuant to Council Resolution,
a copy of which plans and specifications is attached hereto and made a part
hereof, are hereby approved and shall be filed with the City Clerk.
2. The action of the City Manager in preparing and causing to hDe
inserted in the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin,,
an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such
approved plans and specifications, and that said bid notice calling for
the opening of bids on the 13th day of April, 1964, at 12 :00 o'clock Noon,
and to be considered by the City Council of the City of Fridley at a regular
Council meeting at 8:00 o'clock P.M., on the 20th day of April, 1964, and
calling for sealed bids and a deposit or bond based on an amount not less
than five (5%) per cent of the total amount of the bid, be and are in all
respects ratified and approved.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed bids will be received and publicly opened by the City of Fridley,
Anoka County, Minnesota, at the office of the City Manager, on the 13th
day of April, 1964 at 12 :00 Noon, and will be considered by the City Council
of the City of Fridley at a regular Council Meeting, at 8:00 P.M. on the
20th day of April for the furnishing of work and materials for the in-
stallation of Storm Sewer Improvement Project No. 5A.
The project consists of the following:
Approximately 7,700 lineal feet of 72" to 12'" storm sewers
with manholes, catchbasins, inlet structures, and related
appurtenances.
All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared for the City of,
Fridley, Minnesota, by Comstock and Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers,
1446 County Road "J ", Minneapolis 32, Minnesota, Telephone: SUnset 4 -9346.
Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the City Manager,
and copies may be obtained for the Contractor's individual use by applying
to the Engineers and depositing with the Engineers $30.00 for each set. The
deposit will be refunded to each bidder submitting a bonafide bid upon return
of the documents in good condition within ten (10) days from the date of
opening bids and to non- bidders upon return of the documents in good
condition prior to the bid opening. -
Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for the work, and accompanied
by a cash deposit, certified check (on a responsible bank in the State of
Minnesota), or a bidder's bond and made payable without condition to the City
of Fridley, Minnesota, in an amount of.not less than 5% of the total amount
of the bid.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive
any informalities in any bids received without explanation.
No bid may be withdrawn fora period of thirty (30) days.
