RESOLUTION NO. 127 -1965
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE CONDEMNATION
OF CERTAIN LANDS FOR UTILITY AND
STREET PURPOSES UNDER STREET IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT NO. 1965 -1
WHEREAS, by previous Resolutions of the City Council it was
determined to eonstuet and instalil a Street Improvement known as '
Street Improvement Project No. 1965 -1, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has previously determined that the
project was feasible, and
WHEREAS, Public Hearings were held on the matter by the City
Council, and
WHEREAS, following said Public Hearings the Council did resolve
that the project was feasible and necessary and did approve plans and
specifications and let bids for the construction and installation of
said Improvement, and
WHEREAS, as a part of said Improvement, the Engineer has reported
to the Council that easements are necessary as follows:
Parcel No. 1
A twenty foot (201) easement for Streets and Utilities
described as follows:
The East twenty feet (201) of that part of Lot 1,
Auditor's Subdivision No. 25 described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the West line of Section 24, '
T -300 R -24, distant three hundred Ten feet (3101)
South of the Northwest (NW) corner of said Auditor's
Subdivision No. 25; thence East 656.92 feet; thence
South one hundred sixty feet (160f); thence West
656.92 feet to said West line of Section 24; thence
North one hundred sixty feet (1601) to the point of
beginning, except that part thereof taken by the
State of Minnesota for Highway purposes.
All lying in the City of Fridley, County of Anoka,
State of Minnesota.
Parcel No. 2
A thirty foot (301) easement for Street and Utilities
described as follows:
All that part of the Northeast Quarter (NE4) of the
Northwest Quarter (NW-41) of Section 11 that lies South
of the following described line: Commencing at a
point on the East line of 5th Street located 30 feet
North of the center line of 75th Avenue as platted
in Osborne Manor Addition; thence East parallel to
the South line of said Northeast Quarter (NE4) of '
the Northwest Quarter (NWQ) of Section 11 to its
intersection with the Northwest (NW) line of Outlot 1,
Melody Manor 2nd Addition, thence terminating. All
lying in Section 11, T -30, R -249 County of Anoka,
State of Minnesota.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Fridley that it is necessary for the purpose of street
improvement within said City that the above stated easements
be taken.
Further, that the City Attorney is directed and authorized to
commence condemnation action in the name of the City for the acqui-
sition of said Parcels.
