RESOLUTION NO. 161 -1965
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SALE OF CERTAIN CITY PROPERTY
'WHEREAS, Lester Chesney, the Superintendent of Public Works, reports
that the City has a quantity of junk iron that has no value to the City
and should be disposed of, also some old garage doors and an old lawn
mower which the City has no use for, and
WHEREAS, there is an offer of $16.00 for the garage doors and an
offer of $8.00 for the old lawn mower,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City
of Fridley at a regular meeting held on the 7th day of September, 1965,
that the City Manager be authorized and directed to sell and deliver
possession to the bidder of the garage doors for the sam of $16.00,
and to the bidder of the old lawn mower for the sum of 88.00, and
further that the Superintendent of Public Works be authorized and
directed to negotiate and sell for the best price available the junk
iron which has no further value or use to the City.

RESOLUTION CONFIRMING ASSESSMENT FOR STORM & SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 71
BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY, MINNESOTA,
as follows:
1. The City Clerk has with the assistance of the Engineers heretofore
selected by this Council for such purpose, calculated the proper
amounts to be specially assessed for the
STORM AND SANITARY SEWER. IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 71
In said City against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land
in accordance with the provisions of law, and has prepared and
filed with the City Clerk tabulated statements in duplicate
showing the proper description of each aid every lot, piece or parcel
of land to be specially assessed and the amount calculated against
the same.
2. Notice has been duly published as required by law that this Council
;m would meet in regular session at this time and place to pass on
the proposed assessment.

3. Said proposed assessment has at all times since its filing been
open to inspection and copying by all persons interested, and
an opportunity has been given to all interested persons to present
their objections, if any, to such proposed assessment, or to any item
thereof, and not objections have been filed; except
Mr. Charles Swanson, Lot 1, Block 2, Rice Creek Terrace
4. The amounts specified in the propose& assessment are changed
and altered as follows: (none)
5. This Council finds that each of the lots, pieces or parcels of
land enumerated in said proposed assessment as altered and mod-
ified was and is specially benefited by the
STORM & SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 71
in the amount in said proposed assessment as altered and modified
by the corrective roll in the amount set opposite the description
of each such lot, piece or parcel of land, and that said amount
so set out is hereby levied against each of the respective lots,
pieces or parcels of land therein described.
6. Such proposed assessment as altered, modified and corrected is
affirmed, adopted and confirmed, and the sums fixed and named in
said proposed assessment as altered, modified and corrected, with
the changes and alterations herein above made, are affirmed,
adopted and confirmed as the proper special assessment for each
of said lots, pieces or parcels of land respectively.
7. Said assessment so affirmed, adopted and confirmed shall be
certified to by the City Clerk and filed in his office and ,
shall thereupon be and constitute the special assessment for
STORM AND SANITARY SEWER. IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 71
8. The amounts assessed against each lot, piece or parcel of land
shall bear interest from the date hereof until the same have
been paid at the rate of six per cent (6 %) per annum.
9. Such assessmant shall -be payable in one or twenty annual install -
ments payable on the first day of January in each year, beginning
in the year 19662 and continuing until all of said installments
shall have been paid, each installment to be collected with taxes
collectable during said year by the County Auditor.
10. The City Clerk is hereby directed Ito make up and file in the office
of the County Auditor of Anoka County a certified statement of the
amount of all such unpaid assessment and the amount which will be
due thereon on the 1st day of January in each year.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Councilman Thompson, and upon vote being taken thereon the
following voted in favor thereof:
