A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE REPAIR OR REMOVAL OF THE STRUCTURE LOCATED AT
5600/5602 - 6TH STREET NORTHEAST IN THE CITY OF FRIDLEY BY REASON OF IT
BEING A HAZARDOUS STRUCTURE
WHEREAS, on August 13, 1965, James Hensley, City of Fridley Health
Officer and Building Inspector, inspected the property and reported the:
following:
1. Improper storage and burning of garbage.
' 2. Front and rear premises littered with trash and refuse.
3. Overgrowth of weeds on the property.
WHEREAS, on September 22, 1964, and May 1, 1965, said Health Officer,
James Hensley, of the City of Fridley, investigated similar complaints
concerning this property and complaints of rats in the area and found
the complaints concerning improper storage of garbage to be accurate.
WHEREAS, the owner of these premises has been repeatedly ordered
to clean and clear same and provide adequate facilities for the storage
of garbage and refuse, and investigation reveals that the owner has
failed to provide for proper storage of garbage and secured the compliance
of the tenants to use same.
WHEREAS, on August 23, 1965, Leonard Eichmiller, City of Fridley
Electrical Inspector, inspected the premises and reported that electrical
outlets in the kitchen of each of these dwelling units are poorly located
necessitating the excessive use of drop cords thereby causing a hazard.,
WHER AS, the proper remedy of this condition of improperly located
electrical outlets in the kitchen of each of these dwelling units is the
' proper installation of additional electrical outlets having a minimum of
20 ampere capacity.
WHEREAS, on August 31, 1965, William Sanding City of Fridley Plumbing
and Heating Inspector, inspected the property and reported the following
conditions which in the opinion of the Plumbing and Heating Inspector
impair the required 1 -hour fire rating of the furnace rooms and which
require the following or equal repairs:

1. That a notice pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 462.39 to 462.40
concerning hazardous buildings be prepared by the City Attorney and
City Manager; that said notice give the owners until December 20, 1965,
to remove said hazardous condition or make the necessary repairs to
correct the defects enumerated by the City Health Inspector, the
City Electrical Inspector, the City Building Inspector, and the
City Plumbing and Heating Inspector; that said notice be served on
' the owners as provided by said minnesota Statutes and the City
Attorned is authorized to proceed in District Court Anoka County to
enforce said notice and order if the necessary corrective action
is not taken by the owner.

following conditions:

2. Improper burning of garbage.
WHEREAS, on August 131 1965, James H. Hensley, City of Fridley Health
Officer and Building Inspector, inspected the property and reported the
following conditions:
1. Improper storage of garbage.
2. Improper burning of garbage forbidden by ordinance.
3. Front and rear premises littered with trash and refuse.
4. Overgrowth of weeds.
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley Health Officer has ordered the owner
to clean and clear the premises, and to provide facilities for the
proper storage of garbage and the owner has failed to comply with said
order.
