RESOLUTION NO. 193 -1965
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PRELIMINARY REPORT AND CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE MATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS - MUNICIPAL STATE
AID STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ST. 1966 -2.
WHEREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed to be
in the interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners affected
thereby.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, as follows:
1. That the preliminary report submitted by the City Engineer, Nasim
Qureshi, is hereby received and accepted.
2. That this Council will meet on the 15th day of November, 1965, at
8 :00 o'clock P.M. at the City Hall in the City of Fridley for the
purpose of holding a Public Hearing on the improvement noted in the
Notice attached hereto-and-made a part thereof by reference, Exhibit' "A".
3. That the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements and each
of them as noted in said notice are all the lands and areas as noted
in said notice: All of the same to be assessed proportionately according
to the benefits received. - -
4. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to give notice of such
Public Hearing by publishing a notice thereof in the official news-
paper of the City of Fridley according to law, such notice to be
substantially in the form and substance of the notice attached hereto
as Exhibit "A ".

NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota,
has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improvements hereinafter
described be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 15th day of November,
1965, at 8 :00 o'clock P.M, the City - Gouncil will meet at the City Hall id
said City, and will at said time and place hear all parties interested in
said improvements in whole or in part.
The general nature of the improvements is the construction (in the lands
and streets.noted below of the following improvements, to -wit;
CONSTRUCTION ITEM
A. Street improvements, including grading, stabilized base, bituminous
surfacing, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer system and appurtenant
facilities, located as follows:
(1) West Moore Lake Drive
(State Aid No. 302)
(2) West Moore -Lake Drive
(State Aid No. 302)
(3) Rice Creek Road
(4) Ashton Avenue
Carol Drive to Baker Avenue
Baker Avenue to T.H. X665.
T.H. X665 to Old Central
79th Way to Ironton Street
ESTIMATED COST . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $186,457.67
THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENTS IS AS FOLLOWS:
For Construction Item A above - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
All of the land abutting upon said streets named above and all lands
within, adjacent and abutting thereto.
All of said land to be assessed proportionately according to the benefits
received by such improvements.
That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improvements as
separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise provided by the
Council all under the following authority, to -wit; Minnesota Statutes
1961, Chapter 429 and laws amendatory thereof, and in conformity with
the City Charter.
