A RESOLUTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley,
as follow
1. That it is in the interest of the City to award bid contracts
for the following items or materials;
INSTALLATION OF SEWER AND WATER SERVICE LINES FOR THE MOORE
LAKE BEACH HOUSE
2. A copy of the specifications for the above described items
and materials, together with a proposal for the method of
purchase and the payment thereof have been presented to the
Council by the City Manager and the same are hereby approved
and adopted as the plans and specifications, and the method
of acquisition and payment to be required by the City with
respect to the acquisition of said items and materials.
3. The bids contract for the construction of items as described
above shall be effected by sealed bids to be received and
opened by the City of Fridley on the 17th day of May, 1965.
The City Manager is directed and authorized to advertise for
the purchase of said item and material by sealed bid propo-
sals under notice as provided by law and the Charter of the
City of Fridley, the notice to be substantially in form as
that shown by Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part of
by reference. Said notice shall be published at least twice
in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 3RD DAY OF MAY, 1965 BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed bids will be received and publicly opened by the City of Fridley,
Anoka County, Minnesota at the office of the City Manager, on the 17th
day of May, 1965 at 12 :00 Noon, and will be considered by the City Council
of the City of Fridley, at a regular Council Meeting at 8:00 P.M. on the
17th day of May, 1965 for the furnishing of work and materials for the
installation of Sewer and Water Service Lines for the Moore Lake Beach
House.
The project consists of the following approximate work:
400 L.F. 3" C.I.P. Sewage Force Main
Sewage Ejector Pumps, Tank and Appurtenances
300 L.F. lz" Copper Water Service Line and Appurtenances
All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared for the City of
Fridley, Minnesota, by Comstock & Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, 1446
County Road "J ", Minneapolis, Minnesota 55432 (Tel: .SUnset 4- 9346).
Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the City Manager,
and copies may be obtained for the Contractor's individual use by applying
to the Engineers and depositing with the Engineers $10.00 for each set.
The deposit will be refunded to each bidder submitting a bona fide bid upon
return of the documents in good condition within ten (10) days from the
date of opening bids and to non - bidders upon return of the documents in
good condition prior to the bid opening.
Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for the work, and accom-
panied by a cash deposit, certified check (on a responsible bank in the
State of Minnesota), or a bidder's bond and made payable without condition
to the City of Fridley, Minnesota, in the amount of not less than 5% of the
total amount of the bid.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive
any informalities in any bids received without explanation.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days.
