RESOLUTION NO. 117 - 1966
A RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING
ADVERTISING FOR BIDS FOR STORM SEWER PROJErT NO. 81
WHEREAS, the Resolution #102 -1966 of the City Council adopted on the
18th day of Julv, 1966, ordered the Suburban Engineering Company, Incorpor-
ated to prepare the final plans and specifications for all the improve-
ments as noted in the Notice of Hearing marked for reference as Exhibit
npn.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council dfS the City of Fridley
as follows:
11 The plans and specifications prepared by the Suburban Engineering
Company, Incorporated, for these = mnrovements, a copy of which
plans and specifications are hereto attached and made a part
thereof, are hereby approved.
2. The work to be performed under Project No. 81 shall be performed
under one contract.
The-city Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted
in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of
such improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The
advertisement shall be published for two (2) weeks (at least 10 days),
and shall specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be
opened and considered at 12:00 o'clock (noon), on the 15th day of August
1966, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, and that no bids will be
considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk, and accompanied
by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for
five per cent (5 %) of the amount of such bid. That the advertisement
for bids for Project No. 81 shall be substantially in form as that noted
in Exhibit "B" attached hereto for reference and made a part .,hereof.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed bids will be received and publicly opened by the City of
Fridley, .Anoka County, Minnesota at the office of the City Manager on
the 15th day of August, 1966, at 12:00 Noon, and will be considered by
the City Council of the City of Fridley at a regular Council meeting at
8:00 P;M. of the same day, for the furnishing of work and materials for
the installation of Storm Sewer Improvement Project No. 81
The project consists of the following approximate quantities:
500 Feet of 18" R.C.P. Class II and Class III
Storm Sewer Pipe, Manholes and appurtenances
All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared for the
City of Fridley, Minnesota, by Suburban Engineering Company, Incorporated,
6875 Highway #65, Fridley, Minnesota 551:21, Telephone: Sunset 4 -6066.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
_ Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the City
Manager, and copies may be obtained for the Contractor's individual use
by applying to the Engineers and depositing with the Engineers -t15.00 for
each set. The deposit will be refunded to each bidder submitting a -bona-
fide bid upon return of the documents in good condition within five (5)
days from the date of opening bids.
Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for the work, and
accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check (on a responsible bank
in the State of Minnesota), or a bidder's bond and made payable without
condition to the City of Fridley, Minnesota, in an amount of not less
than 5% of the total amount of the bid.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids
and to waive any informalities in any bids received without explanation.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days.
