A RESOLUTION SETTING THE CITY PRIMARY ELECTION FOR THE YEAR 1966
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Fridley has reported that 4
candidates have filed with his office for election to the office of
Councilman 3rd Ward.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that, pursuant to the Charter of the
City of Fridley (Chapter 4, Section h-03 as amended), the Council hereby
provides for and calls the Primary Election of the City of Fridley to be held
in the City of Fridley on Tuesday, the 13th day of September, 1966, at which
election, electors of the City shall vote and cast a ballot with respect to
the office of Councilman Ward 3, and thereafter the two candidates receiving
the highest number of votes for such office at such election, shall be deemed
the candidates for the office to be voted upon at the regular forthcoming
General Election to be held on November 8, 1966.
That the City Clerk shall give at least 15 days notice of the time and
place of holding such election, the names of the candidates who have filed,
and of the offices to be elected, by posting a notice thereof in at least one
public place in each voting precinct, and by publishing a notice thereof at
least once, prior to said Primary Election, in the official newspaper of the
City.
That in addition to the City's Primary Election, to be held in Ward 3
there are Statewide Primary Elections to be held in all precincts on the 13th
day of September, 1966.
The polling places for said Primary Election shall be as follows:
