EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF A MEETING HELD
SEPTEMBER 6, 1966, AT 8;00 O'CLOCK P.M., AT THE CITY HALL, CITY OF
FRIDLEY, MINNESOTA.
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota, was duly held at the City Hall
in said City on Tuesday, the 6th day of September, 1966, at 8:00 o'clock P.M.
The following members were presents Kirkham, Harris, Sheridan, Wright.
and the following were absents Samuelson
The Clerk announced that the proposed assessment for Storm and Sanitary
Sewer and Water Project No. 73 & 73A had been filed in his office on the lst
day of August, 1966, and that notice of a hearing on said assessment to be
held at the regular meeting of the Council on the 6th day of September, 1966,
had been given in the form and manner as provided by law. The Clerk presented
an affidavit showing publication of such notice in the official
newspaper, which affidavit was examined and found satisfactory and ordered
placed on file.
The Mayor announced that the meeting was open for consideration of
objections to the assessment heretofore filed with the City Clerk for
STORM AND SANITARY SEWER AND WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 73 AND 73A
The Clerk reported that written objections had been filed by the
following persons affecting the following described lots, pieces or parcels
of land, to -wit:

to said assessment:

After due consideration of all said objections, Councilman Harris
introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 139 - 1966
A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING ASSESSMENT FOR STORM AND SANITARY
SEWER AND WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 73 AND 73A
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota,
as follows
11 The City Clerk has with the assistance of the engineers, heretofore
selected by this Council for such purposes, calculated the proper
amounts to be specially assessed for the
STORM AND SANITARY SEWER AND WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 73 & 73A
in said City against every assessible lot, piece or parcel of
land in accordance with the provisions of law, and has prepared
and filed with the City Clerk tabulated statements in duplicate

parcel of land to be specially assessed and the amount calculated
against the same.
2. Notice has been duly published as required by law that this
Council would meet in regular session at this time and place
to pass on the proposed assessment.
3. Said proposed assessment has at all times since its filing been ,
open to inspection and copying by all persons interested, and
an epportanity has been given to all interested persons to pre-
sent their objections, if any, to such proposed assessment, or
to any item, thereof, and no objections have been filed; except
NONE
4. The amounts specified in the proposed assessment are changed and
altered as follows:
None
5. This Council finds that each of the lots, pieces or parcels of
land ennumerated in said proposed assessment as altered and
modified was and is specially benefited by the
STORM AND SANITARY SEWER AND WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 73 & 73A
In the amount in said proposed assessment roll in the amount set
opposite the description of each such lot, piece or parcel of land.
and that said amount so set out is hereby levied against each of
the respective lots, pieces or parcels of land therein described.
6. Such proposed assessment as altered, modified and corrected is
affirmed, adopted and confirmed, and the sums fixed and named in
said proposed assessment as altered, modified and corrected, with
the changes and alterations herein above made, are affirmed,
adoT,ted and confinmed as the proper special assessment for each of
said lots, pieces or rarcels of land, respectively.
7. Said assessment so affirmed, adopted and confirmed shall be certified
too by the City Clerk and filed in his office and shall thereupon be
and constitute the special assessment for
STORM AND SANITARY SEWER AND WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 73 & 73A
8. The amounts assessed against each lot, piece or parcel of land shall
bear interest from the date hereof until the same have been paid at
the rate of six per cent (60? per annum.
9. Such assessment shall be payable in one, fifteen or twenty annual
installments payable on the first day of January in each year,
beginning in the year 1967, and continuing until all of said
installments shall have been paid, each installment to be collected
with taxes collectible during said year by the County Auditor.
109 The City Clerk is hereby directed to make up and file in the office of
the
County Auditor
of Anoka County a certified statemert of the
amolm
t of all such
unpaid assessments and the amount which will be
due
thereon on the
first day of January in each year.
The
motion for the
adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Councilman Wright, and upon vote being taken thereon the
following
voted in favor
thereof: Kirkham, Harris, Wright, Sheridan -
Samuelson
- absent.
and the following voted against the same: NONE
