EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL, OF A REGULAR MEETING
HELD SEPTEMBER 19, 1966, AT 8:00 O'CLOCK P.M., AT THE CI`_ "Y HALL, CITY OF
FRIDLEY, MINNESOTA
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Fridley, Minnesota, was duly held at the City Hall in said
City on Monday, the 19th day of September, 1966, at 8:00 O'clock P.M.
The following members were present: Kirkham, Harris, Sheridan and Wright.
and the following were absent: Samuelson
The Clerk announced that the proposed assessment for
STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. ST. 1965 -1
had been filed in his office on the 15th day of August, 1966, and that notice
of a hearing on said assessment to be held at the regular meeting of the
Council on the 19th dp•, of September, 1966, had been given in the form and
manner as provided by law. The Clerk presented an affidavit showing
publication of such notice in the official newspaper, whibh affidavit was
examined and found satisfactory and ordered placed on file.
The Mayor announced that the meeting was open for consideration of objections
to the assessment heretofore filed with the City Clerk for
STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. ST. 1965-1
The Clerk reported that written objection had been filed by the following
persons affecting the following described lots, pieces, or parcels of land,
to -wit:

assessment:

After due consideration of all said objections, Councilman Harris
introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 143 - 1966
RESOLUTION CONFIRMING ASSESSMENT FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. ST. 1965 -1
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The City Clerk has with the assistance of the engineers heretofore selected
by this Council for such purpose, calculated the proper amounts to be
specially assessed for the
_ STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. ST. 1965 -1
in said City against every assessable lot, piece, or parcel of land in
accordance with the provisions of law, and has prepared and filed with
the City Clerk tabulated statements in duplicate showing the groper
description of each and every lot, piece, or parcel of land to be specially
assessed and the amount calculated against the same.
2. Notice has been duly published as required by law that this Council would
meet in regular session at this time and place to pass on the proposed
assessment.
3. Said proposed assessment has at all times since its filing been open to
inspection and copying by all persons interested, and an opportuniry has
been given to all interested persons to present their objections, if any,
to such proposed assessment, or to any item thereof, and no objections
have been filedl except NONE
4. The amounts specified in the proposed assessment are changed and altered
as follows:

FILLMORE STREET & REGIS LANE :
Lot 2, Block 1, Sheridan Acres deleted, Rate changed
from 8.89 to 9.38 per foot
DONNAY'S ADDITION:
Lot 9, Block 8, Donnay's Lakeview Addition front
footage changed from 85 feet to 75 feet '
5. This Council finds that each of the lots, pieces, or parcels of land enum-
erated in said proposed assessment as altered and modified was and is
specially benefited by the
STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. ST. 1965 -1
in the amount in said proposed assessment as altered and modified by the
corrective roll in the amount set opposite the description of each such
lot, piece, or parcel of land, and that said amount so set out is hereby
levied against each of the respective lots, pieces, or parcels of land
therein described.
6. Such proposed assessment as altered, modified, and corrected is affirmed,
adopted, and confirmed, and the sums fixed and named in said proposed
assessment as altered, modified, and corrected, with the changes and
alterations herein above made, are affirmed, adopted, and confirmed as the
proper special assessment for each of said lots, pieces, or parcels of
land respectively.
7. Said assessment so affirmed, adopted, and confirmed shall be certified too
by the City Clerk and filed in his office and shall thereupon be and
constitute the special assessment for
STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. ST. 1965 -1 '
8. The amounts assessed against each lot, piece, or parcel of land shall
bear interest from the date hereof until the same have been paid at the
rate of six per cent (6%) per annum.
9. Such assessment shall be payable in ten annual installments payable on
the 1st day of January in each year, beginning in the year 1967, and con-
tinuing until all of said installments shall have been paid, each install-
ment to be collected with taxes collectible during said year by the County
Auditor.
10, The City Clerk is hereby directed to make up and file in the office of the
County Auditor of Anoka County a certified statement of the amount of all
such unpaid assessments and the amount which will be due thereon on the
1st day of January in each year.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Councilman Sheridan, and upon vote being taken thereon the following
voted in favor thereof: Kirkham, Harris, Sheridan, Wright - - Samuelson, absent.
and the following voted against the same: NONE
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 19TH DAY OF
SEPTEMBER, 1966. ,
