RESOLUTION NO. 187 - 1966
A RESOLUTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley, as follows:
1. That it is in the interest of the City to award bid contracts
for the following items or materials:
"ONE NEW 27,500 POUND G.V.W. DUMP TRUCK"
and
"ONE NEW 3/4 TON TRUCK WITH BOX"
2. A copy of the specifications for the above described items
and materials, tosether with a proposal for the method of
purchase and the payment thereof have been presented to
the Council by the City Manager and the same are hereby
approved and adopted as the plans and specifications, and
the method of acquisition and payment to be required by
the City with respect to the acquisition of said items
-and materials
3. The purchase of said items and materials as described
,above shall be effected by sealed bids, to be received and
opened by the City of Gridley on the 16th day of January,
1967. The City Manager is directed and authorized to
advertise for the purchase of said items and materials
by sealed bid proposals under notice as provided by law
and the Charter of the City of Fridley, the notice to
be substantially in form as that shown by Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and made a part of by reference. Said
notice shall be published at least twice in the official
newspaper of the City of Fridley.

3/4 TON TRUCK WITH BOX
EXHIBIT "A"
The City Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota will accept sealed bids
on one (1) New 27,500 Pound G.V.W Dump Truck and One (1) New 1/4 Ton Truck
with Box on the 16th day of Jamiary, 1967, until 12:00 o'clock Noon on said
date at the Fridley City Hall, 6431 University Avenue Northeast, Fridley,
Minnesota, 551121 (Tel: 560 -T50). All `?ids must meet the minimum require-
ments of the specifications. Failure to comply with this section can re-
sult, in disqualification of the bid.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Cash,
or Bid Bond and made payable without concition to the City of Fridley,
Minnesota, in an amount of not less than five percent (51) of the bid,
Which check, cash or bond shall be forfeited if bidder neglects or refuses
to enter into Contract, after his bid has been accepted.
The City reserves the right to accept the bid which is determined to be in
the hest interests of the City. The City reserves the right to re.ject any

and all bids and waive any informalities or technicalities in any bid re-
ceived without explanation.
The City Council also reserves the right to consider such factors as time
of delivery or performance, experienoe. responsibility of the bidder, past
performance of similar types of items or materials, availability of pro-
ducts and other similar factors that it may determine to be in the best
interest of the City.
Copies of the specifications and general conditions may be examined in the
office of the City Engineer- Director of Public Works, or copies may be ob-
tained from his office.
All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and plainly marked on the
outside with 1127,500 POUND G.V.W. PUMP TRIICK and /or r3 /4 TOP.` TRUCK WITH
BOX ".
