RESOLUTION N0. 67 - 1966
A RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
ORDERING ADVERTISING FOR BIDS: STREET IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT NO. ST. 1966 -5 (INNSBRUCK 5TH ADDITION)
WHEREAS, the Resolution of the City Council adopted on May 9, 1966
ordered the Consulting Engineers, Comstock and Davis, Incorporated, to
prepare�inal plans and specifications for street improvements including
grading, stabilized base, concrete mat with integral concrete curb and
appurtenant facilities located in Innsbruck 5th Addition, now designated
as Project No. ST. 1966 -5.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Frid-
ley as follows:
1. The plans and specifications prepared by the Consulting Engineers
Comstock and Davis, Incorporated, for these improvements,
a copy of which plans and specifications are hereto attached
and made a part thereof are hereby approved.
2. The work to be performed under Project No. ST. 1966 -5
shall be performed under one contract.
The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted
in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such
improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertise-
ment shall be published for three (3) weeks (at least 21 days), and shall
specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened and
considered at 12:00 o'clock (noon), on the 6th day of June, 1966, in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered
unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk, and accompanied by a cash
deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five per
cent (5 %) of the amount of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for
Project No. ST. 1966 -5 shall be substantially in form as that noted in
Exhibit "B" attached hereto for reference and made a part hereof.

Sealed bids will be received and publicly opened by the City of Fridley,
Anoka County, Minnesota, at the Office of the City Manager, on the 6th day of
June, 1966, at 12:00 Noon, and will be cons'!dered by the City* Council of the
k City of Fridley at a regular Council' - Meeting at 8 :00 p -.jT,, on the 6th day of
June, 1966 for the furnishing of work and materials for the installation of
Street Improvement Project No. 1966 -5.
The project consists of the following:
Approximately 21,500 S.Y. 6" Concrete Paving with Base
and Integrant Curb, Excavation, Embankment and Related
Work.
All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared for the City of
Fridley, Minnesota, by Comstock 8 Davis, Incorporated, Consulting Engineers,
1446 County Road "J ", Minneapolis, Minnesota, 551132, Telephone 784 -9346.

Exhibit "B" Continued
Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the City
Manager, and copies may be obtained for the Contractor's individual use
by applying to the Engineers and depositing with the Engineers $25.00 for
each set. The deposit will be refunded to each bidder submitting a
bonafide bid upon return of the documents in good condition within ton (10)
days from the date of opening bids and to non - bidders upon return of the
documents in good condition prior to the bid opening.

Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for the work, and
accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check (on a responsible bank in
the State of Minnesota), or a bidder's bond and made payable without condition
to
the City of Fridley, Minnesota, in an amount of not less than 5% of the
total amount of the bid.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to
waive any informalities in any bids received without explanation.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days.'
