TI3E BOARD OF REVIEW MEETING - JULY 12, 1967
The Board of Review of the City of Fridley, was called to order by Mayor
Kirkham at 8;28 P,M.
ROLL CALL:
PRESENT:
ABSENT:
Mayor Kirkham, Councilmen Harris and Samuelson
Councilmen Liebl and Sheridan
Also present were; Acting Citq Manager Brunsell, Chief Deputy County
Assessor Lester Schwartz, Mervin Herrmann, Pridley City Assessor, and
I,eon Madsen, Deputy Assessor of the City Assessor's Office.
Mr. Sol Gunzberger, 6209 Baker St. N. E., Fridley, Minnesota, a Local
taxpayer was also present.
Mayor Kirkham read the Notice of the Assessment MeetLng. Mr_ Schwartz
staCed that this meeting concerned Personal Property ior 1967 and any
buildings started or completed between 3anuary 2, 1966 and Sanuary 2, 1967.
Mr. Sch�aartz also requested time to give a resume of the 1968 appraisal.
Mr. Gunzberger stated that the notice should have read that the meeting
was being held only for new properCies.
As there were no ob�ections or complaints, the motion was made by
Councilman Samuelson and seconded by Councilman Harris thae the Board
of Review meeting be closed.
Mr, Schwartz explained the 1968 assessment. The new appraisal caxds and
tax statements would carry 100% market value of structure and land This
would be for the 1968 appraisal for taxes payable in 1969. The assessed
ratio would be a percentage of the market value, This wouLd make it much
easier to explain.
MOTION made by Councilman Samuelson and seconded by Councilman Harris
that the meeting adjourn.
The meeting was ad,7ourned at 8:40 P.M.
