A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVnPCNT; APPROVAL OF PLANS AND
ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: STREET IMPROV=NT PROJECT
ST. 1967 -4
WHEREAS, the Resolution No. 135 -1967 adopted by the City Council on
the 17th day of July, 1967, set the date for hearing on the proposed improve-
ments, as specifically noted in the Notice of Hearing attached hereto for
reference as E}OIIBIT "A ", and
WHEREAS, all property owmers whose property is liable to be assesse4
with the making of the improvements (as noted in said notice) were given tan
(10) days notice by mail and published notice of the Council, hearing throu3n
two (2) weekly publications of the required notice, and the hearing was heir
and the property owners heard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley,
Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the following in proposed by Council Resolution
No. 135 -1967 are hereby ordered to be effected and completed
as soon as reasonably possible, to -wit:
Street improvements, including grading, stabilized base,
bituminous surfacing, concrete curb and gutter, and storm
sewer system, water and sanitary sewer services and other
facilities located as follows:
64TH AVENUE N.E. FROM UNIVERSITY AVENUE TO 5TH STREET
5TH STREET FROM 64TH AVENUE N.E. TO MISSISSIPPI STREET
That the work involved in said improvements as listed above
shall hereafter be designated as:
STREET IMPROVE MENT PROJECT ST. 1967 -4
2. The plans and specifications prepared by the Minnesota highway
Department Engineers and the City Engineer for such improve-
ments and each of them, pursuant to the Council resoiutions
heretofore adopted, a copy of which plans and specifications
are hereto attached and made a part hereof, are hereby approved
and shall be filed with the City- Clerk.
3. The work to be performed under STREET 1MPRO`FrF.dT PROJECT
ST. 1967 -4 shall be performed under one contract.

The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause to be insert
in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such
improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertise-
ment shall be published for two (2) weeks (at least 10 days), and shall
specify the work to be done and will state that bi.cis will be opened and
considered at 12:00 o'clock (noon), on the 5th day of September, 1967 in
the Council Chambers of the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered
unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk, and accompanied by a cash
deposit; bid 'pond, or certified check payable to the City for five percent
(S) of the amount of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for STREET.
DJPROVEiUENT PROJECT ST. 1967 -4 shall be substantially in form as that noted
in Exhibit "B" attached hereto for reference and made a part hereof.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed bids will be received and publicly opened by the City of
Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, at the office-of the City Manager, 6431
University Avenue Northeast, Fridley, Minnesota 55421 (Telephone 5060- 3450),
on the Z day of September, 1967 at 12:00 Noon, and will be considered by
the City Council of the City of Fridley, at a regular Council Meeting, at
8:00 P.M. on the Z day of September, 1967 for the furnishing of work and
materials for STREET DIPROVEI�INi PROJECT ST. 1967 -4.
The street project is about one quarter of a mile (4) long and
consists of the following principle items of work and approximate quantities.

All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by the
Minnesota Higra•uy Engineers, and Nasim Qu'reshi, P.E., City Engineer, Fridley
City Hall., 6431 University Avenue Northeast, Fridley, Minnesota 55421•
Telephone: 560 -3450.
Plans and specifications may be examined at the Office of the City
Manager, and copies may be obtained for tae Contractor's individual use by
' applying to the C--'--,y Engineer and depositing with the City Engineer 515.00
for each set. The deposit will be ref'rdad to each bidder sutmi tti-3 a
bonafide bid upon return of the documents in good condition_ within ten (10)
days from the bid opening date.
Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for work, and accom-
panied by a cash deposit, certified check (on a responsible bar -'t in the State
of Minnesota), or a bidder's bond made payable without condition to tae City
of Fridley, Minnesota, in an amount of not less than 5% of the total amount
of the bid.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and
to waive any ir-formalities in any bids received without explanation_.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days.
