RESOLUTION NO. 179 -1967
A RESOLUTION TO AD I- iRTISE FOR BIDS
BE IT RESOU[ED by the Council of the City of Fridley, -as follows:
1. That it is in the interest of the City to award bid contracts
for the foliowino item, materials, and work:
FOUNDATION FOR TIN BUTLER BUILDING
2. A copy of the specifications for the above described items
and materials, together with a proposal for the method of
purchase and the pay-.-Lent thereof have 'ceen preocnted to
the Council- by the City ilanagc -n and the same are hereby
approved and adopted as the plans and specifications, and
the method of acquisition and payment to be required by
the City with respect to the acquisition of said items
and materials.
3. The purchase of said items and materials as described
above shall be effected by sealed bids to be received and
opened by the City of Fridley on the 16" day of October,
1967. The City %ianager is directed and autnorized to advertise
for the purchase of said items and materials 'cy sealed bid
proposals under notice as p -rovided by la,; and the Charter
of the City- of Fridley, the notice to be s,ibstantially in
form as that shown by Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
made a part of by reference. Said notice shall be pub-
lished at least twice in the official newspaper of the
City of Fridley.

EXHIBIT "All -
The City Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota will accept sealed bids
on "Foundation for Tin Butler Building" on the 161 day of October, 1967,
until 12:00 o'clock Noon on said date at the Fridley City Hall, 6431
University Avenue Northeast, Fridley, Minnesota 55421 Tel: 560 - 3450). All
bids must meet the minimum requirements of the specifications. Failure to
comply with this section can result in disqualification of the bid.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check,,Cashier's Check, Cash
or Bid Bond and made payable without conditions to the City of Fridley,
Minnesota, in an amount of not less than five percent (50) of the bid,
which check, cash or bond shall be forfeited if bidder neglects or refuses
to enter into Contract, after his bid has been accepted.
The City reserves the right to accept t'Ke bid which is determined to be in
the best interests of the City. The City reserves the right to reject any
and all bids and waive any informalities or technicalities in any bid re-
ceived without explanation.
The City Council also reserves the right to consider such factors as time
of delivery or performance, experience, responsibility of the bidder, past
performance of similar types of items or materials, availability of products
and other similar factors that it may determine to be in the best interest
of the City.
Copies of the specifications and general conditions may be examined in the
office of the City Engineer - Director of Public Works, or copies may be
obtained from his office.
All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and viainly marked on the
outside with "FOUNDATION FOR TIN BUTLER BUILDING ".
